Our beliefs as a school and as educators: High Point s discipline philosophy places emphasis on the role of the student in accepting ownership for his/her behavior and making the choice to change inappropriate behavior. Our school belief is based on respecting self and others. The major components of our school-wide discipline plan are as follows: TWO BASIC PHILOSOPHICAL TENANTS 1. Kids are worth it. 2. I will not treat a student in a way I myself would not want to be treated. SIX CRITICAL LIFE MESSAGES I believe in you. I trust in you. I know you can handle life s situations You are listened to. You are cared for. You are very important to me.
