The May package of initiatives comprises: - a Communication on 'Building a Stronger Europe: the role of youth, education and culture policies' - a Youth Strategy (2019 2027) to empower Europe s youth and give them a stronger voice - a New Agenda for Culture which will be instrumental in increasing awareness of Europe s common identity and heritage - a proposal for a Council Recommendation on Early Childhood Education and Care Systems 11
12 In includes also two proposals towards a European Education Area: - a Council Recommendations on the Automatic Mutual Recognition of Diplomas and Learning Periods Abroad - a Council Recommendations on improving the Teaching and Learning of Languages.

14 The European Semester As of 2010, the European Semester enables the EU member countries to coordinate their economic policies and address the challenges facing the EU. Among the goals we have: structural reforms to create more jobs and sustainable growth boosting investment.

20 Specific objectives of the current call acquisition of social and civic competences, knowledge, understanding and ownership of common values and fundamental rights, promoting inclusive education in particular for disadvantaged learners, enhancing critical thinking and media literacy among learners, parents and educational staff,
21 Specific objectives of the current call supporting the inclusion of newly arrived migrants in good quality education, fostering digital skills and competences of digitally excluded groups promoting European values, cultural heritage and heritage-related skills,
22 What we expect from projects Better knowledge and good practices and a wide dissemination. Innovative approaches, implemented and assessed. Educational staff and managers aware and willing to practice inclusive educational approaches. New or updated mechanisms and services to support learning providers in implementing inclusive education approaches.
