Cap and gowns are available to purchase during the Graduation Kick-Off event on April 11, 2018 at Centennial Education Center (CEC) and thereafter at CEC, ookstore until May 24, 2018. The cost to purchase your cap and gown is 15.62. The ookstore will accept cash, credit cards, and checks. Information Form Online Instructions Steps to access the Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education website and locate the student graduation information form. 1. Go to https://www.sac.edu/continuingeducation/graduation/pages/default.aspx 2. Click on the link Graduate Information Form on the left hand side. 3. Fill the spaces with your information and click submit. Note: Only the Graduate Information Form can be submitted online. All other documents can be printed and submitted to Centennial Education Center Graduation Office E-103 or at Santa Ana College -8.
Congratulations High School Graduates! February 2, 2018 Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education has selected GradImages to provide a unique photography service for your upcoming graduation ceremony on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 6:30p.m. A photographer from GradImages will be at your ceremony to take a candid photograph of you at your special moment of recognition. A group photograph of your class will also be taken before the ceremony at 5:45p.m. Please arrive early. You will receive a free passport-sized digital proof of this photo within 5-7 days following the ceremony. Questions may be emailed to service@gradimages.com. After the ceremony, you may order online at www.gradimages.com or call 800-261-2576. The cost of color photographs start at 7.95 for a 5x7 photo. You are responsible for giving your correct address to the Counseling Office. Since photographs will be available, family members and guests are encouraged to remain in their seats, relax and enjoy the ceremony. Prior to the ceremony, please pre-register your permanent email address at www.gradimages.com and click on Pre-Event Registration. You may add contact information for up to 6 additional relatives and/or friends. GradImages never has and never will sell or share the address/email information provided to us to any other vendor. Photographs Students have the option to purchase commencement photographs through GradImages. This company will be present during the ceremony to capture photographs of students receiving their diploma and or certificate. SCHOLARSHIPS 2018 The following scholarships will be available to 2018 Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education High School Diploma Graduates. Packets containing information sheets and applications are available at Centennial Education Center (-100) and Santa Ana College (- 8) Counseling Office. The Scholarship Committee will meet to review applications. The funds will be dispersed to the winners as indicated on the recipient s award letter. The deadline to submit completed scholarship applications is May 4 th, 2018 Leadership and Achievement Scholarship - 500 The scholarship award will be based on academic excellence and demonstrated leadership capabilities. Qualification: A 3.5 GPA or better for all credits completed through the SAC SCE High School Diploma Program Future of Promise Scholarship - 500 The scholarship award will be based on academic excellence. Qualification: A 3.5 GPA or better for all credits completed through SAC SCE High School Diploma Program Academic Senate Scholarship - 500 The scholarship will be awarded to a SAC SCE graduating high school student who is registered to attend Santa Ana College Qualification: A 3.0 GPA or better for all credits completed through the SAC SCE High School Diploma Program Dan Ramirez Memorial Scholarship - 500 The scholarship will be awarded to a SAC SCE graduating high school student who is registered to attend Santa Ana College Qualification: A 2.0 GPA or better for all credits completed through SAC SCE High School Diploma Program Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education Scholarship - 500 The scholarship will be awarded to a SAC SCE graduating high school student, who has transitioned from any SCE non-credit programs such as ESL, AE and CTE. ARRIVE at the Santa Ana College Cook Gymnasium by 5:30 P.M. Keep in mind the following: 1. Arrive in your cap and gown attire, you will be directed to the location for the class picture. 2. If you have problem with your cap and gown such as sizes, or attaching tassel to cap go to Room G107 for assistance. 3. Ceremony starts at 6:30 P.M. The graduation class will march behind faculty, while marching, keep appropriate distance from the person in front of you as you enter the gymnasium. 4. Once the procession (marching) begins follow the direction of the Graduation Marshall, at the front of the line, in taking your seat assignment in the gymnasium. 5. Remain standing until all the graduating class has entered into the gymnasium. The Graduation Marshall will give you the signal when you are to be seated. 6. During the ceremony you will be asked to stand for the national anthem, invocations, presentation of graduates and conferring of diplomas. Remain standing until you are given the signal to be seated by the Graduation Marshall. 7. After the national anthem, please listen to the speaker as he or she will congratulate those students who graduate with honors. Students will find out before the graduation ceremony their honors status. 8 When the time comes to receive your diploma, you must present your name card to the reader. The reader will announce your name and you must proceed (walk) toward the presenter who will deliver a diploma cover and a good handshake of congratulations. 9. Go back to your same seating area, remain standing until everyone in your row has received their diploma cover and follow the Graduating Marshall s instructions. 10. No talking during the ceremony. 11. Stay in line during the processional exit and listen to the directions of the Graduating Marshall s instructions. 12. Attend the reception outside the gymnasium. Your diploma can be picked up at the reception; please bring your diploma cover with you. Enjoy the rest of the evening with your parents, classmates, friends, and staff, at the reception. 13. Adult supervision is required for children attending the event. CONGRATULATIONS!
