MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE BEDFORD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT HELD APRIL 24, 2014 AT THE ADMINISTRATION CENTER AT 6:00 P.M. The audio recording of this Board of Education meeting is hereby incorporated into the official minutes. Mr. Stevens, Vice President, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following Board of Education members present: Mr. Stevens, Mrs. Hilty, Mrs. Patterson, Mr. Tench Mrs. Kozak s absence was excused. Amber Holt Bedford High School Intervention Specialist Effective approximately August 19 through October 6, 2014 Appointment of Kenneth Elder as the Summer School Principal for 2014 per the Administrative Leadership Development Program. Approval of a supplemental contract for the following staff member for the 2013-2014 school year. The compensation is being split at this time due to a Family Medical Leave request. Ed Uhlir Instructional Specialist $1,666.75 Ian Thome Instructional Specialist $ 333.25 Approval of a supplemental contract for the following staff member for the 2013-2014 school year. The compensation is being split due to a resignation. Mike Cline Recycling/Building Stipend $ 81.00 Cheryl Tanski Recycling $ 45.36 Correction of a supplemental contract for Gary Kaplan for the 2013-2014 school year. The category and compensation were incorrectly reported for the October 17, 2013 Board Agenda. Assistant Musical Play Director Category C $1,430.42 Supplemental recommendations for Clubs and Activities for the 2013-2014 school year. (Exhibit A-1) Stipend for Nicole Topolski who will participate in Non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention Training on April 16 and May 12, 2014. Compensation will be $20.00 per hour, not to exceed 9 hours. Funds will be paid through the Special Education IDEA (Title VI-B) funds. Home Instruction Tutors for the 2013-2014 school year: Michelle Hinegardner Yvonda McDowell Approval of the following certificated staff members to serve as teachers for the Alternative Education Program at Heskett Middle School from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Compensation will be $25.00 per hour, not to exceed 6 hours per week, per teacher.
