Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are student governed organizations with leadership programs and competitive events which reflect current curriculum standards and competencies for the instructional programs they serve within Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE). CTSOs are committed to the growth of students in all CTAE career pathways and they play an integral role in preparing students to become college and career ready.
Each element of the diagram is a distinct part of the CTAE division but they are so fully intertwined that they cannot be fully separated if a complete program is to be offered.
Extra-Curricular: used to describe extra activities that can be done by the students in a school but that are not part of the regular schedule of classes
Co-Curricular: being outside of but usually complementing the regular curriculum
Integral: very important, necessary; essential to completeness
CORE Values Commitment: Conviction: Education: Integrity: Leadership: To create among members, educators and business and industry an adherence and appreciation for all CTAE Programs. To develop leadership abilities through participation in educational, professional, community and social activities. Professionalism: To promote high standards in career ethics, workmanship, scholarship and safety. Recognition: Service: Teamwork: Appreciation of the value of achievement.
