Congratulations Miss Paton Miss Paton is getting married Yes Miss Paton is getting married to Trent on Sunday. On behalf of our school community, we all wish Bec and Trent a long, happy and healthy life together full of fun and loving times. We know that they will both have a fabulous day on Sunday at their wedding with family and friends. Easter Hamper Our Student Representative Council have organised an Easter Hamper to be drawn at our final assembly tomorrow. Tickets for the hamper are 50 cents each or 3 for $1.00. Members of our Student Representative Council are selling tickets before and after school each day at the front of the school. All monies raised by the raffle will go to support the Good Friday Appeal and the Royal Children s Hospital. Hot Cross Buns Many thanks to Teresa Heard and Lee-Ann Verberne for co-ordinating the Easter Hot Cross Bun drive. A big thank you to all the parents and staff who purchased Hot Cross Buns. No doubt, they won t last long over the holiday/easter break. Heat Bears Many thanks to Karen Temple who co-ordinated the purchase and selling of the Heat Bears. We had a great response to the Bears and now with the weather is beginning to turn, they will no doubt get lots of use. Leadership Day On Monday our School Captains, Maddie and Cohen attended a Leadership Conference at the Convention Centre with 4,000 other students. The students had the opportunity to hear from inspiring leaders and engage in team building activities.

Both Maddie and Cohen returned to school so enthusiastic about their role as School Captains but also the endless opportunities we can create when we all work together. Many thanks to Karen Temple for taking Maddie and Cohen to the conference. Staff Car Park Named Spaces Each year, we sell off two car parking spaces as a fundraiser for the school. Please note that these spaces are to be kept vacant at all times. If you need to park in the staff car park to pick up a sick child, please park in the disabled park near the Multipurpose Room. Assembly Friday Tomorrow our assembly will begin at 1.50p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room. At tomorrow s assembly, one student from each grade will receive the Principal s Award. Our dance groups will also perform along with some special items. We look forward to seeing everyone at assembly tomorrow. End of Term Where does the time go? It only seems like yesterday that our Prep students started school. It has been such an exciting term of teaching and learning with all students giving of their best both in and out of the classroom. May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a fantastic holiday and Easter break. Please be safe over the break and we look forward to seeing everyone back safe and sound on Tuesday 18 th April. Special thanks to Lee-Anne & Teresa for running the Hot Cross Bun drive, Karen for organising the Heat Bears, Eve for coordinating the Twilight Sports BBQ and to EVERYONE who helped at the Bunnings BBQ! Next term we will be turning our focus to putting together the school fete. FERNTREE GULLY COMMUNITY CENTRE SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 3 April to 12 April 10am 11:30am or 1pm 2:30pm. 3 July to 14 July 10am 11:30 am or 1pm 2:30pm. $14.50 per child per session and includes all materials. Bookings for all workshops can be made by phoning the Centre Office on 9758 9180. Activities are:- Pottery Hand Building For children from 5 years upwards. Monday, 3rd April; Wednesday, 5th April and Friday, 7th April. Kids can make Tea Cups and Saucers or Pinch Pot Monsters. Monday, 10th April and Wednesday, 12th April. Kids can make Hen on a Nest or a Wall Planter. Pottery On the Wheel For children from 9 years upwards. Tuesday, 4th April and Tuesday, 11th April. All children must bring a towel, and long hair is to be tied back.

PARENTS FOR BREAKFAST IN THE HIVE This week we invited our families to join the children in our Before School Care Program for breakfast! We have a variety of menu items for breakfast throughout the week and the parents have been treated to some yummy breakfasts this week such as Raisin Toast, Bacon & Eggs, Yoghurt & Berries, Baked Beans and Pancakes. Thank-you to all those families who were able to join us for breakfast this week. The children have really loved being able to share with you what they get up to when at Before School Care. We are hoping to hold a breakfast week each term keep a look out for the next dates! We have had a fantastic term and look forward to the exciting Vacation Care Program that is coming up. Spaces are filling fast, with some days fully booked out! Cross Country The House Cross Country Championships will be held on the first Thursday of next term, the 20 th April between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
