The General English Course Course Benefits The advantages of studying on our General English course go way beyond higher grades and a better overall performance at school. Small class sizes Fun and engaging lessons International groups Course certificate and report One of our greatest assets is the multinational character of the groups on our course and the level of cultural exchange between students. This creates the perfect context to discuss and debate ideas in class, exposing students to new perspectives, giving them a greater awareness of international issues and broadening their horizons. As a result, in addition to helping students strengthen their study skills, English language and self-confidence, our course fuels students personal development, helping them prepare for future experiences. Your English Summer uses its own English course, produced in-house with a range of materials that are ideally suited to summer school lessons. Course Extras Students on our course will have a fantastic opportunity to develop their communicative skills as they take part in dynamic and interactive classes, all with the support of highly qualified and experienced, native-level teachers. Every day on the course will bring something different and lessons will include the use of task-based projects, collaborative activities, online quizzes, games, videos and much more. Thanks to our immersive English environment and passionate staff, Your English Summer students will be able to improve all areas of their language, specifically their: Speaking Pronunciation Vocabulary Listening Grammar Reading Writing Everyday English All of which can offer an excellent advantage and improved confidence for the school year ahead or help them prepare for an upcoming exam. One-to-one conversation booster Exam preparation Extra one-to-one conversation practice with a native speaker can be an excellent way to make even faster progress towards fluency and develop natural sounding English. These sessions can be booked in addition to the General English course for up to 4 hours per week. Please contact us for more information or visit our website. Welfare and Supervision Making a booking The wellbeing and safety of the students staying with us is our absolute priority. For this reason, all of our friendly and attentive staff have previous experience of working with young students, which is invaluable when it comes to understanding the summer school dynamic. To ensure students are well looked after, every member of our team plays a part in our proactive approach to supervision and is given additional child safeguarding and welfare training. This way we can make every effort to anticipate potential issues and offer extra support if necessary. Simply complete our online booking form at www.yourenglishsummer.co.uk and we will contact you to confirm receipt of your booking request. We generally recommend doing this as early as possible to guarantee availability. There will also be a first aid-trained member of staff on site at all times or accompanying students on all excursions. We will then send you a full confirmation of your booking and the student s place on the course. We will also provide further information about your stay and your invoice. To secure your booking we require payment of a 350 deposit within 7 days of the invoice issue date, the remaining balance is payable by 14th May 2018. We have a comprehensive Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and procedures in place which all employees, volunteers and contractors are expected to adhere to. If you have questions at any point during the summer about anything at all, you can reach a member of the Your English Summer team night and day.
