February 5, 2014 Dear Prospective Student, The admissions season is over for Fall 2014 admission the University of Iowa MSW programs. We are in the process of updating our School of Social Work MSW admissions information for fall 2015. Please be advised that the attached materials are not current for the upcoming session and mark your calendar to contact us again in the fall after September 1 st 2014 for an updated packet. Feel free to look this over for general information, however, there will be changes in the new application, so do not use the attached materials, you will be required to obtain and use the updated version for 2015. We will begin accepting your completed application materials for Fall 2015 after September 1, 2014. The deadline will be January 30 th, 2015. Also, please note, we do not require the GRE exam for the University of Iowa School of Social Work MSW program, however there is a 3.0 minimum Grade Point Average requirement, feel free to discuss this with our Program Administrator Kate Kemp or me if it looks to be an issue for you, as there are a number of ways to view the cumulative GPA. kate-kemp@uiowa.edu or susan-dirks@uiowa.edu. You may list the dates and names of people contacted to help keep track of your transactions. TIP: Make sure your name appears on the front of your personal statement and essays. Staple each section. TIP: Keep a copy of all materials you send. Remember that your application will only be reviewed after all materials have arrived to the School of Social Work and the Graduate Admissions office at UI.
