The Cultural Advisory Group was established by Council in August 2010 following the adoption of the Wollondilly Culture Plan. The Plan was developed with the community to establish strategies to grow and develop the local cultural infrastructure, activities and opportunities for active participation in artistic pursuits within the Shire. The Advisory Group meets every second month and is facilitated by Council s Community Project Officer- Community Development, providing Council with advice on cultural development activities, policy, and assisting staff in the implementation and monitoring of the Cultural Plan. It has become a focal point for effective communication between arts and cultural groups and services across the Shire, helping to raise the profile of the opportunities available locally. The Advisory Group is open to any Wollondilly resident or person working within the Shire who is interested in advancing cultural development.
