ATHLETIC CAMPS Baseball Session I: Hitting Camp June 13th 16th 8:30 10 am 5th 8th Grade Session II: Fielding Camp June 20th 23rd 8:30 10 am 5th 8th Grade Session III: Pitching & Catching Camp June 29th July 2nd 8:30 10 am 5th 8th Grade Join Coach Pete Lotus, his staff, and current and former Viking players for Viking baseball camps. Attendees will learn the skills and fundamentals of the game by the same methods that have produced numerous Catholic League Blue and Regional Championships over the past 10 seasons. Cost: $60 per session OR $150 for all 3 sessions Basketball Session I June 20th 23rd 12 2 pm 7th & 8th Grade June 20th 23rd 2 3:30 pm 5th & 6th Grade Session II June 27th 30th 12 2 pm 7th & 8th Grade Coach Jim Maley and his staff are offering a fun and fast-paced camp for all skill levels. In his 2nd year, Coach Maley led the Vikings to 16 wins and the CCL semifinals. He will teach campers the same fundamentals, offensive and defensive principles that led to this success. Cost: $60 per session OR $100 for both sessions

Football July 25th 28th 12 2 pm 5th 8th Grade Head Coach and former NFL player Harold Blackmon will lead this camp for all rising 5th-8th graders. The camp is open to all skill levels and is no pads and non-contact. Other members of the Viking coaching staff, including former Notre Dame and Bears player Bobbie Howard, will help lead the camp. Come learn from the IHSA 5A Semifinalist Vikings! Cost: $75 Golf July 12th 14th 8 am 12 pm 5th 8th Grade St. Laurence golf coach Joe Sinisi will lead this camp for golfers of all skill levels. The camp will be at Stony Creek Golf Course in Oak Lawn. Campers need to bring their own clubs and should have proper golf attire (polo & golf shoes). Camp fee includes all green fees. Cost: $100 Lacrosse July 18th 21st 12 2 pm 5th 8th Grade Come experience the fastest game on two feet with the St. Laurence coaching staff. From beginners to experienced players, all campers will enjoy this action-packed camp on the turf field. Attendees should bring their own equipment. Contact STL about the possibility of renting equipment for the camp. ATHLETIC CAMPS

ATHLETIC CAMPS Soccer July 11th 14th 12 2 pm 5th 8th Grade Coach Matt Prunckle will direct this soccer camp for all grammar school boys. Learn the fundamentals and skills that Coach Prunckle and his staff use with the high school teams. All skill levels are welcome. Campers should wear soccer cleats and shin guards. Speed & Agility July 25th 28th 8:30 10 am 5th 8th Grade Coaches from the Viking athletic staff will lead this dynamic camp for athletes from all sports. Campers will not only improve their speed and agility during camp, but they will learn a number of drills that they can do on their own to continue to get faster and quicker. Cost: $60 Strength & Conditioning July 18th 21st 8:30 10 am 5th 8th Grade This camp will be run by members of the St. Laurence coaching staff and is open to all athletes. Campers will learn basic safety and technique in the weight room. They will also do a number of exercises with and without weights to both strengthen their muscles and build cardiovascular endurance. Cost: $60 $100 for Speed & Agility and Strength & Conditioning together

ATHLETIC CAMPS Tennis July 11th 14th 8:45 10 am 5th 8th Grade Coach Mike Faber will lead the tennis camp open to all players regardless of experience or skill level. Campers will learn skills and drills to improve their game and have the opportunity to play against each other. Cost: $30 Volleyball June 13th 16th 3 5 pm 5th 8th Grade Coach Ryan Denson will lead this camp for rising 5th-8th graders. All skill levels are welcome. Campers will have the opportunity to learn from and play with the current Viking volleyball players as well. Cost: $40 Wrestling June 27th 30th 4 7 pm 5th 8th Grade Join Coach Clay French and the rest of the Viking coaching staff for this dynamic camp. The 1st hour will be open mats, and instruction will take place from 5-7. Come experience what it is like to be a part of the revival of Viking wrestling!

ACTIVITY CAMPS Band July 11th 15th 3 5 pm 5th 8th Grade St. Laurence/Queen of Peace band director Mike Trovato is the leader of this dynamic band camp. The St. Laurence Band Summer camp is for boys and girls that have completed at least a year of band instruction on flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet/ cornet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, bells, or drums. Students will participate in a week long process of learning and performing concert band music. They will also participate in sectionals, clinics, and perform a concert. Cost: $75 Digital Architecture June 27th 30th 10:15 11:30 am 5th 8th Grade Explore the world of architecture using computer programs to design and create a one-of-a-kind digital home with Miss Gaffey. Students will have the opportunity to learn the commands and controls of Google Sketch Up to construct a house, making every decision along the way. You become the architect, designer and builder, all while in the comfort of a computer classroom. No experience required.

ACTIVITY CAMPS Graphic Design June 27th 30th 2:15 3:30 pm 5th 8th Grade Commercials, logos, advertisements, you name it, graphic design can be found everywhere in our world. In this session, students will learn how to use Adobe Photoshop and then apply that knowledge to create their own graphic art. From editing photos, to learning how to re-create a logo, students will use the programs that professional designers use to create their own digital work of art. No experience required. Campers need to bring a smart phone and a USB cable. Leadership June 20th 23rd 10:15 11:30 am 5th 8th Grade Come learn how to be a leader from the premier leadership program on the Southside! Since leaders are made, not born, this camp will concentrate on the five best practices of a leader, how to use them in a group, and how a leader effectively leads a group. The skills will be learned and practiced in an interactive manner through activities, group work, the exploration of leadership skills, discussion, analysis, and reflection. esports Madden July 25th 28th 10:15 11:30 5th 8th Grade Test your skills in a Madden video game tournament. The camp will take place in the STL activity center and is limited to the 1st 16 registrants.

ACTIVITY CAMPS Math July 11th 14th 10:15 11:30 am 5th 8th Grade Math camp will use sports to reinforce some of the basic math concepts that students learn in grammar school. Campers will be able to see the application of math concepts through the STEM concept. Camp will be split between the classroom and in sports activities outside of the classroom applying what they learned. Students should bring a notebook and a pen or pencil with them to camp, and should also wear athletic clothes and shoes. Robotics July 18th 21st 10:15 11:30 am 5th 8th Grade This hands-on, engineering based camp is sure to excite the participants! Students will get an intro to the world of robotics. They will learn about the design and construction of a robot, as well as the coding and computer systems necessary for the robot s control. The camp will take place at Queen of Peace in their robotics lab.

I confirm that my child has up-to-date health insurance coverage and understand that this organization does not provide health insurance for students in the camps. In the event of an emergency, I authorize any treatment deemed necessary from any accredited hospital and/or physician(s) for the immediate care of my child/ children. I agree that I am responsible for providing insurance coverage and payment for any and all medical services rendered.
