The last tour will be at 6:00 PM. Paine Primary teachers will lead the tours and answer any questions that parents or students may have about their new school. Paine Primary will host a meeting for parents who are new to the school on July 17 th from 6:00-7:30 PM. This will be an informational session with time allotted for questions and answers. If you attended the new parent meeting in May, you do not need to be present at this meeting! HTHS Student Schedules and Fee Payment: July 14 Schedules can be viewed online through inow beginning Monday, July 14 th at 8:00 am. There will be no on-campus registration for HTHS students this summer. Please see the following schedule for fee payment options and important dates. If you have questions concerning payment of fees, please contact Margie Stewart at 205-228-4018 or Jill Guice at 205-228-4017. Student schedules available online through inow Teacher names WILL NOT appear on the schedules. If you feel there is an error in your schedule please click here to access the schedule change form. Complete the form and email it to hthscounselors@gmail.com Appropriate Schedule Changes: Student is missing a course required for graduation, has an incomplete schedule, or needs an athletic change. There will be no changes based on teachers, friends or lunch shifts. Please be aware that some elective classes are full and alternate class choices have been substituted. If you did not list alternates on your course selection sheet then alternates were chosen for you. Driver s Education/Health classes may flip semesters based on student birthdate. All students will receive a printed copy of their updated schedule on the first day of school. Schedules are still being reviewed and classes are being balanced so the period may change. July 14 Online payment for fees opens For your convenience, fees/contributions may be paid online with a credit card by clicking this link. Please note that there is a $3.50 convenience fee to pay online. Click here to view the HTHS Fee Schedule with explanation of fees. You will also need to refer to your student s schedule as you work through the online payment module. July 15 On campus fee payment opportunity locker assignments and parking decals will not be 7:30-noon issued during this session. July 17 Freshmen Orientation for all incoming 9 th graders- Freshmen will receive their locker numbers and combinations during orientation. 8:00 to noon Week of July 21 Locker and parking assignments will be mailed to all 10 th through 12 graders. Note: Parking tags will be held for students who have not paid parking and drug testing fees. Parking and drug testing fees must be paid no later than August 1 st or student will forfeit their parking reservation. ATTENTION HTHS FRESHMAN! HTHS Freshman Orientation Date: 17, 2014 Time:8am-Noon Where: Competition Gym What: group activities, small group activities, a tour of the building, a pizza lunch provided by the PTSO, and meet some of your future teachers, counselors and administrators! This orientation is for the students only! ATTENTION HTMS STUDENTS! Lockers are assigned and ready. Your student may come to HTMS on July 21st from 7:30-9:30 a.m. or from 5:00-7:00 p.m. to locate and access their locker. If you are unable to come during these times...no worries...you will have another opportunity during Meet the Teacher on August 5th, 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. We know that locker decorations can be exciting, especially for our 6th grade students. Wallpaper and other items that adhere to the inside of the locker causes significant damage to the paint. Therefore, they will not be permissible. Anything that utilizes a magnet is permissible such as a mirror, pencil organizers, photo magnets etc. We want this to be an enjoyable experience for our students and at the same time maintain the integrity of our lockers. HTMS Professional Learning team at the Destin Nuts and Bolts Middle Level Educator Symposium. Information learned will be shared with Faculty during their Monday PLC time! It is a small world. April Chamberlain, Kristi Stacks, Rachel Brockman, Kelly Watkins, and Lauren Long participate in a Google Hangout from Atlanta. The group took part in a meeting with architects, faculty/ staff and community in Trussville to plan the new elementary schools. Just a snapshot in learning at ISTE. We are in the Mobile Makerspace playground.
