Re-construction of school would be helpful and make school more attractive. Consider a systematic approach from a bottom up re-design model (attracting lower level students) instead of a top-down design model (attracting higher level students). Are we looking to save a school or students in a community? What is the exact goal of this repurposing initiative? Keep in mind many students currently do not have resources, problem-solving skills, language skills, and financial resources. We need to make sure that magnet opportunities are not missed. Consider flexible school hours. Boundaries changes to attract additional students The information contained in this document was presented at Student Success Opportunity Schools on January 7
