Primary Admissions for September 2018 Closing date Monday 15th January If you have a child who was born between 1 st September 2013 and 31 st August 2014 you need to apply for a school place now. The closing date for applications on line, which is strongly recommended, is Monday 15 th January. Paper applications must be returned directly to the Admissions Team on the same date. The latter should be sent to admissions directly not to the school. We advise paper applications be sent by recorded delivery to ensure you have proof of your application. Mrs. Millership is still unwell and is unlikely to return to school this term. Mrs. Reid will continue to manage any SEN matters that arise in the meantime. We send Mrs. Millership our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery. ROTARY TOY COLLECTION Santa collected toys to be distributed to needy children in the local community. This annual visit was eagerly awaited and a delightful interlude for the children.

Parents Consultations There will be a Parent Consultation sessions on Wednesday 7 th February and it will follow the same model as in November when there will also be opportunities for book scrutiny and you can comment on what you observed. Wednesday 7 th February: The school will close at 1.30 for all children, with appointments beginning at 1.45. Again the After School club will run as usual. For parents who have difficulty collecting children at this time, supervision will be arranged until the end of the school day, but we must know numbers by Friday 2 nd February. Children are not expected to attend consultation sessions. Should there be any difficulties, I am happy to supervise school age children on the chairs outside the hall. Appointment times can be booked from Wednesday 31 st January in the playground; through the office or via the homework diary. Appointment times cannot be guaranteed through the latter two methods, but we will do our utmost to accommodate preferences. Parents who cannot attend on those dates should make other arrangements at a time convenient to the class teacher. Children with SEN support, as defined by the new SEND Code and arrangements, will be contacted by the class teacher to arrange a longer appointment. Written reports will follow on the 2nd of March. Request for Pants and Knickers We are always grateful for donations of clean pants and knickers in case of accidents in school.
