ACCREDITING COMMISSION FOR COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES SUBSTANTIVE CHANGE COMMITTEE ACTIONS JUNE 2012 THROUGH JANUARY 2013 CARRINGTON COLLEGE CALIFORNIA: a Special Report regarding low success rates of the distance education programs was accepted by the Committee. COLLEGE OF THE DESERT: to offer 51 associate degrees and nine certificate programs via distance education. The COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS: for the new Tulare Center. The Committee approved the proposal pending a site visit. COLLEGE OF THE SISKIYOUS: to move three programs to the Yreka Center. The Committee acted to approve the proposal. EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE: 1) for a new program in Logistics & Technology, and 2) to offer one degree and five certificate programs via distance education. The Committee acted to approve the proposals. FOLSOM LAKE COLLEGE: to offer 43 degrees and certificate programs via distance education. The Committee acted to defer the proposal pending additional information. GLENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE: to offer a new program in 1) the Los Angeles County Assessor s Office. The 2) a new program in Transportation Security Administration. The Committee denied the proposal. GROSSMONT COLLEGE: to offer five new associate degrees and 16 new career education certificates. The HARTNELL COLLEGE: 1) a new program in Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counseling. The Committee acted to approve the proposal. 2) a new program in Construction/Sustainable Construction. The Committee acted to approve the proposal. 3) distance education for 15 degrees and five certificate programs. The 4) a new program in Respiratory Care Practitioner. The Committee approved the proposal pending additional information. IMPERIAL VALLEY COLLEGE: 1) a new program in Cisco Certified Networking Assistant (CCNA). The 2) to offer 10 degrees and three certificate programs via distance education. The Committee acted to approve the proposal pending additional information. LASSEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE: to offer 10 degrees and four certificates via distance education. The LOS ANGELES PIERCE COLLEGE: to offer two degrees and two certificates via distance education. The Committee acted to defer the proposal for additional information. 3

The proposal was approved by the Committee pending a site visit. 2) for a new program in Sustainable Technology. The Committee acted to approve the proposal. PALAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE: to offer a new Public Health/Emergency Health Management program. The SANTA ROSA JUNIOR COLLEGE: to offer eight associate degrees and 12 certificate programs via distance education. The VICTOR VALLEY COLLEGE: to offer 23 degrees and 32 certificates via distance education. The WINDWARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE: 1) for a change in the College mission. 2) for a new program in Veterinary Technician. The Committee acted to approve the proposals. YUBA COLLEGE: for the new Sutter County Center. The Committee acted to approve the proposal pending a site visit.
