After School Activities 2017/18 Students may join After School Activities from 15h30-16h50. Activities offered by KSI staff are included in the school fees. Activities run by outside agencies are at an additional cost. Parents will be required to complete an After School Activities participation form to be submitted to the school before the start of the new academic year. Any change concerning the student s participation in After School Activities must be communicated to the school office. The student will not be allowed to leave the school premises unless the school has been informed by the parents and therefore will have to wait under supervision until the arrival of the person authorised to pick him/her up. After School Activities end at 16.50 and we ask you to collect your child promptly at 17h00. Students not participating in After School Activities should be collected by their parents at 15h30. If, for some unforeseen reason, an After School Activity has to be cancelled, you will be informed in advance and asked to make arrangements to pick up your child directly after the end of classes at 15h30. In some cases, upon request, the school may be able to provide supervision until 17h. KSI AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES 2017-2018 After School Activities will be offered every weekday, during term times, throughout the academic year. Activities will only run on regular school days. On half days, public holidays, evenings for school functions and when Parent-Teacher Meetings are taking place there will be no After School Activities. Once a student registers for an activity, they do so for the whole school year, with the exception of seasonal activities. An activity per day will be provided for the following age groups: Pre K, K1 and K2 P1 to P5 2

There are two types of After School Activities: Activities run by KSI staff, which are included as a part of the school fees Activities that are delivered by external specialists, to increase the range available. These activities are subject to additional payment Please note that if there are insufficient students registered for an activity, it may be cancelled. Registering for an After School Activity 1. Parents will receive an email from the school office regarding After School Activities for the coming academic year. This email will outline the activities offered daily for each age group; a description of activities provided by external specialists with contact details and prices; a registration form and a copy of the After School Activities Policy. The deadline for enrolments will be communicated to parents at this point. Parents must fill in the registration form and send it back to or print it, complete it and leave it at the KSI Reception. Important: Parents must adhere to and respect deadlines for enrolling their child(ren) in after school activities. This is necessary to administer the activities effectively. Once deadlines have passed, places in activities cannot be guaranteed and the school will make the decision case by case on whether a place is still available for a particular activity, as some activities have limited numbers. 2. For After School Activities provided by external providers, parents must sign up with the school and will be invoiced by the school, unless specified that the activity needs to be signed up directly with the provider and payments made to the external providers. Parents must also inform the school if their child(ren) participates in an externally provided activity so that the school has an accurate list of the children who remain on site after 15.30. A place in an activity is granted on a first-come first-served basis for both internally and externally run activities. 3
