Venus International Women Awards 2018 The Venus International Women Awards (affectionately known as the VIWAs) are now in their third year. The VIWA scheme was instituted in the year 2016 by the Centre for Advanced Research and Design (CARD) of Venus International Foundation (VIF), are presented yearly during the AWM that is conducted during March month of the year. Vision: To Celebrate the Achievements of Woman Professionals Mission: To recognize 'Best-Brightest-Inspirational-Talented Woman Professionals' who demonstrated courage, creativity, excellence, originality and endurance in their discipline Objectives: To honour the individuals for the significant contributions in the field The VIWA 2018 Judging is a peer review process, based on nomination papers submitted by the eligible individual. The panel (from diverse backgrounds, working individually) will be looking for the achievements of Individual Women Professionals who demonstrated courage, creativity, excellence, originality and endurance in the field of science and technology. For each discipline/subdivision (Eg. Distinguished Woman-Engineering), the expert committee will select 2 Nominees. However the Apex Committee reserve the rights to honour less or more than 2 nominees in any category who meet standards set by the expert committee.
