From The Principal s Desk: St. Rose School Monthly ~ Messenger -We Exist to Bring the Catholic Faith to Life - January 2018 Issue ST. ROSE SCHOOL FAMILIES YOU ARE INVITED TO BE A PART OF OUR PROMOTIONAL TEAM DATE: Every day and in particular, on the Sundays of January and February LOCATION: Everywhere you go and in particular, outside of your Parish Church TIME: Throughout the day and in particular, right after the Mass your family normally attends As a members of our St. Rose School community, our families enjoy every opportunity to share the great news about our school. You are seen working together with your children s teachers, with our other families, supporting and enjoying all of our children, and sharing with other parents and friends when you are asked, Why do you send your child/ren to a Catholic school (sometimes they say private school )? The time is now and we need every family on board to assist in promoting St. Rose School to all families who would consider a Catholic education for their children. Promotion of our school, it s perception among all of our parishes and throughout our Roseville area communities, is accomplished when we all say YES together. Promotion has a direct relationship to our enrollment, our tuition rates, our ability to bring new and meaningful academic programs to our students, your children, to share the load of service points positions through which the whole school benefits, and most importantly, growing a united and welcoming community of faith. It is Christmas time and our focus is, and should be, this waiting time, this Advent time, and this celebration of the coming wonder of the Christ Child, the Prince of Peace. Blessings to all of our children and families in this beautiful (and busy) time. But here is my HOWEVER... January comes quickly and suddenly our school is in the midst of preparations for the 2018-19 school year while working NOW, in the PRESENT, to deliver the best educational experiences for which we are so proud, in the 2017-18 school year. So...go back to the beginning of this letter. I need you; your school needs you. And I will be asking for your assistance in a particular way. During the months of January and February...I will ask families from each parish, St. Rose of Lima, St. Clare, St. Joseph Marello, SS. Peter and Paul, St. Joseph, Lincoln to do what should come naturally...speak for St. Rose School and welcome prospective families to our school...to our Admissions Information Night, Wednesday, January 17, to our Open House following our 9:00am Mass on Sunday, January 28, to tour our school, to meet our parents and teachers at our Crab Feed/Raffle Events on two Saturdays, January 27 and March 10, or even to support our Jog-a-thon on Friday, April 20. As you have been welcomed, so let us pass on the Good News...the Christ Child is born, and the good news...let us now welcome, continue to serve, embrace others, and be a force for good...building leadership, instilling values, living the virtues, and continuing the mission of our church. Thank you, everyone With His Words in my actions, ~Suzanne Smoley, Principal
