August 2014 Regents Exams ALL schools or districts that have ANY student taking an August Regents at ANY location are responsible for:

August 2014 Regents Exams Making sure the students are entered into the student management system. Note: You will not be able to enter data into Level 0 until the 2014-2015 database becomes available.

How do I get my students scores All student scores will be posted on ASAP. Fast Score users will have scores posted within a 24 hour business turn around Non-Fast Score districts will have scores posted as Nassau BOCES scores and processes sheets. ASAP website- http://asap.nasboces.org
BOCES Regional Summer School and other Cooperative Programs
Cooperative programs LOI s are needed from testing site AND the home school/district of the student. Testing site to provide a Regents file to Nassau BOCES by July 18 th File to include Student Name Local ID Home School Home District BEDs code or private school institution ID Grade level as of 2014-2015 Name of Examination to be taken
Cooperative Programs A second file will be submitted by each testing site on Friday August 1, 2014. This file will contain the walk-in students accepted by the testing site.
Cooperative Programs After that. Use blank answer sheets for any student who did not receive a pre-printed answer sheet. Please be sure to write on the answer sheet: The name of the home school and District District BEDs code or private school institution code Students local ID number Without this information there will be no score and it will fall out of the Fast Score process.
After the examinations. Follow the test scoring procedures established by SED. If using Fast Score, follow procedures: The testing site will score the constructed response sections of the examinations Teachers will not be hand scoring multiple choice nor will they be calculating the conversion score, this is done by the Fast Score program.
After the examinations. Summer schools using Fast Score: Please make one copy of the students answer sheet to be sent to the home school. Please note that you can ONLY use Fast Score for your own in-district students. All other must be hand scored and their answer sheets returned to Nassau BOCES by August 22, 2014. Summer schools NOT using Fast Score Please make TWO copies of the students answer sheet. One copy is to be kept by the summer school program, one sent to the students home school and the original is to be sent to Nassau BOCES by Friday August 22 nd for processing.
For districts/schools who send their students to cooperative programs.
Cooperative program participants Complete the LOI for August Regents and submit by July 14, 2014. Schools sending students as walkins to sit for Regents exams must register with the Summer School providing a letter to the summer school principal verifying that the student has completed appropriate course work. Schools sending students as walkins must contract with Nassau BOCES for student answer documents and state reporting as per the June 2013 SED memo.
Cooperative program participants How to send walkin students to sit for an exam. Provide the Summer School Principal or Coordinator with required information to participate in the summer school and the Regents exam with or without the Fast Score process. This information will need to include: Name of Student Student ID (local) District BEDS s code or Private School Institutional Code (ex: 800#####) Examination Requested The sending school Principal must verify that the student has completed all appropriate course work to sit for the exam. Please note that each cooperative program sets their own deadlines and fees for test administration, please be sure to contact the testing site prior to test dates, the earlier the better.
Cooperative program participants The home school/district will be able to obtain student scores directly from ASAP The home school/district will record the scores in your student management system The home school/district will enter these students into Level 0 when it opens for the next school year.
For districts/schools who keep only their own in district/school students enrolled in full year instruction.
In-district students NO Fast Score Complete LOI by July 14, 2014 Provide a.csv file by July 18, 2014 so that we can pre-print answer sheets. Use blank answer sheets for any student who did not receive a preprinted sheet. Only from your own district. Be sure to include local ID number Enroll district walk-in with an enrollment code of 5555 ex. (graduated, dropped out) Make copies of the student answer sheets and record the scores in the SMS Enter these students into Level 0 and push them up to Level I when the 14-15 school year opens. Original answer sheets are due back to Nassau BOCES by August 22, 2014.
For districts/schools who keep only their own in district/school students enrolled in full-year instruction.
