At the airport, look for SLU signs, International Ambassadors in bright yellow shirts and/or staff in blue shirts. SLU ID/Bank Account/Math Placement Test/IT Support Meet in the International Ambassadors will assist you with getting your SLU ID, setting up a bank account, taking the math placement test, and setting up your SLU account and electronic devices. Bring your passport to set up a bank account. Bring your laptops, smart devices (phones, tablets, etc.). Bring your SLU username and password. SLU Social Relax with other international students and the International Ambassadors and play games in the heart of campus!

THURSDAY, JANUARY 12 9:00-9:30AM 9:30-11:00AM 11:00-12:00PM AE UP UD Welcome and Orientation Kickoff Meet staff, fellow students and the International Ambassadors and receive an overview of your orientation activities. Mentor Meet-up and Campus Tour Meet your peer student mentors for a campus tour. Peer student mentors will serve as a resource for you throughout your time at SLU. Undergraduate SLU Written Examination (SLUWE) Test Preparation Get prepared with tips and strategies for taking the SLU Written Examination. This session is helpful for students who are required to take the SLUWE. 11:00-12:00PM GD 12:00-1:00PM Graduate SLU Written Examination (SLUWE) Test Preparation Seminar Room 124 Get prepared with tips and strategies for taking the SLU Written Examination. This session is helpful for all graduate students who are required to take the SLUWE. Welcome Lunch Join faculty, staff and students for lunch and continue your welcome to SLU.

Bring a photo ID. Graduate SLUWE Testing Beracha Some new international graduate students are required to complete this writing exam (exemptions were determined during your admission process). Bring a photo ID. US Culture Shock and Slang Eat some delicious snacks and learn about culture shock and American slang with International Ambassadors. Immigration Information The Office of International Services will review the immigration regulations that students must follow to maintain status while in the United States. This session will complete your required check-in process for your student visa. Bring your passport and I-20 or DS-2019. Shopping Shuttle to Walmart Meet at Pius XII Memorial Library Circle Join International Ambassadors for a shopping trip to get some basic necessities as well as a cell phone. There is only one departure at 6:30PM, so do not miss it! The International Ambassadors will assist you in taking your purchased items back to your room. FRIDAY, JANUARY 13 9:00-10:00AM UD GD 10:00-12:30PM AE UP 10:00-1:00PM EX UD SLUWE Debrief Students who are directly admitted will receive their SLUWE scores and learn about class registration. TOEFL Testing Beracha All Academic English and Pathway students are required to take an institutional based TOEFL test. Bring a photo ID. 12:00-1:30PM Lunch and Resource Fair Join students, faculty and staff for lunch! You will be able to sign up for cell phone and banking services. You can also meet student organizations to learn how to get involved on campus and take your picture with the Billiken! AE UP INTO SLU Finance and Admission Check-in Seminar Room 124 Academic English and Pathway students must complete a required Finance and Admissions check-in. Stop by during this time to confirm everything is complete so you can register for your classes. Family Program Des Peres Conference Room - 116 Families of SLU students can attend this information session to learn about various services provided to SLU students to ensure their students success. INTO SLU Program Debrief & Advising All students in Academic English and Undergraduate Pathway programs will receive their test scores, learn about classes, and have a chance to ask questions about the INTO SLU programs. Graduate Student Welcome & Faculty/Student Panel - Seminar Room 124 INTO SLU Graduate Pathway Advising Beracha 6:30PM Simon Recreation Center Tour and Activities Meet outside the Simon Recreation Center Tour the Simon Recreation Center, learn about various athletic resources and programs, and join your fellow students for activities. SATURDAY, JANUARY 14 10:00-1:00PM 7:00PM City Tour Meet at Pius XII Memorial Library Circle Join International Ambassadors for a tour of the many things that St. Louis has to offer. Cultural Jeopardy Come learn about different cultures in a fun game format. The winning team gets a prize!
SUNDAY, JANUARY 15 1:30PM 7:00PM Busch Student Center Scavenger Hunt Meet outside the Bookstore in the Busch Student Center Look for clues with your mentor group to learn about the Busch Student Center and its resources. A prize will be given for the winning team! Movie Night Spring 141 Join fellow students and International Ambassadors for a night of snacks and a movie. MONDAY, JANUARY 16 2:00-5:00PM 5:00PM Board Games Meet with the International Ambassadors to hang out or play games.
