DAMAI PRIMARY SCHOOL Principal s Message The irst six months of the new merged Damai Primary has been a time of learning and growth for students and staff. To build a safe and happy school, processes and systems in all major areas, guided by our culture of care and concern for each child, were established. The new Damai badge signifying a new beginning was built on the achievements of both schools. It symbolises our hope for the future. The lame of lifelong learning will be ignited by SPARK representing Self Discipline & Honesty, Perseverance, Appreciation, Respect and Kindness. These school values will guide the learning, growth and achievements of our students. Thank you for entrusting your children into our care. Mrs Lay See Neufeld At the new merged Damai Primary, we strive to provide a broad based learning experience that is authentic and aimed at enriching the lives of the students. As we opened our doors to a diverse group of students both from Singapore and overseas, our students have bene itted from learning alongside their peers of different nationalities. They have had many opportunities provided, for them to interact, learn and showcase their unique talents and skills. With their varied backgrounds, our students have been able to gain new perspectives and improve on their social skills. Our belief that all children can learn and with the uniqueness of the diversity that exists at Damai Primary, we are con ident that our students will be able to engage in a future that is both interesting and exciting. Mrs Liu-Ong Ai Sian MAY 2015 Guided by the philosophy that Every Child Matters, we have adopted a holistic approach considering the students individual interests & talents, providing diverse opportunities for them to pursue their passions. One key highlight is the Aesthetics Camp held during the March holidays, featuring hands-on music and art programmes and learning journeys to interesting art venues. This expanded the students capacity to perceive, empathize and create. All these programmes would not be possible without our dedicated staff who constantly seek to improve themselves professionally. We wish to acknowledge all staff for their willingness to go the extra mile and their unwavering belief in the students potential to grow and excel. Dr Lee Kok Sonk
