Kia ora Koutou, St Paul s Catholic School Thursday 16th November 2017 Vision: At St Paul s we know, love and serve God. We ve now passed the half way mark of Term 4! Students and teachers are currently busy with testing and report writing, As this is a very busy time of the year, and, as the weather heats up, please encourage your children to get plenty of sleep, eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water. We look forward to our Giant Garage Sale this Saturday. The weather forecast suggests the day will be fine and sunny. A perfect ingredient for lots of selling. A big thank you to everyone who have donated goods for the day; your generosity is very much appreciated. A last minute reminder, if you still have items at home for the garage sale, we ll accept these gratefully. To add, the school is also asking for donations of baking for our big day. Thank you also to everyone who has helped or will be helping; without your generosity of service, big events like this are impossible. Please keep in your prayers the appointments committee, who comprise of staff and BoT members who have the task of finding new teaching staff for 2018. Interviews are being held this week. Guide us, enlighten us and fill us with wisdom, Understanding and clarity as we discern the Acceptability and suitability of each applicant. May we be faithful to the mission of Catholic Education. In our decision-making prompt And inspire us to choose someone who Will safeguard and strengthen the Catholic Character of our Catholic School. Amen. For your information: Once the appointments committee has made its final decision on our potential teachers, we ll go about deciding on teacher/ classroom best fits. We are looking at letting the community know of our new appointments and in which classroom our teachers will be in for 2018, towards the end of November. Good luck to our Year 4-8 students who will be competing in the Ngaruawahia Inter-Schools athletics competition next Tuesday. We ll have a strong team of athletes representing St Paul s Catholic School on the day, and as always, they ll do the school, parents and community proud! All the very best to you all. Ma te Atua koutou e Manaaki, God Bless you all. Shaun Emms.
