Academic Prep Students have the opportunity to get extra help or strengthen their skills during Lunch & Lab and Academic Support. Lunch & Lab The Lunch and Lab period (L/L A and L/L B) is split into two 30 minute periods. Students are encouraged to eat lunch during either L/L A or L/L B, allowing time to engage in academic prep. Extra help from a student s teachers will be available during the Lunch & Lab period based on a schedule of teacher availability. Teachers will provide their students with additional information about availability for extra help. Extra help from a student s teachers will be available after school until 2:40 PM, on Mondays through Thursdays, as scheduled with the teacher. Academic Support Academic support is offered to students who need extra support / help in the five academic subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and World Language). At least one teacher from each department is on hand to provide assistance to students who need extra support / help. There are also National Honor Society volunteers on hand to provide assistance as well. Academic support is offered in the Learning Center after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on the same days that Late Busses are offered. Late Busses Late busses are offered on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Late bus availability is posted in the Main Office. There are three (3) late busses that leave school at 3:15 from outside the Main Office. In order to get on the late bus you must have a pass from the staff member (teacher, advisor, administrator) with whom you are staying.
