It is both an honor and pleasure to serve you and the Lodge for the coming year. I am looking forward to building upon all the great works that we accomplished last year under the guidance of Richard Mata. Our Lodge only runs effectively when we as members get involved and participate in making the Santa Paula Moose the oasis that it is. To all the people who cooked, cleaned, painted, bartended, and made us laugh last year, I thank you as I am sure all the other members do as well. Shall we carry on in service of one another this year. I am thrilled with the prospect. Already many great ideas are shared with me by you. We are a Lodge of action, so implementing these ideas can happen with your help. I encourage new members to not be shy and ask about our different committees and how they can get involved. After all there is no better way to get to know your fellow members. My first big assignment will be Mother s Day which is Sunday, May 10th. This is a breakfast which is free to all mothers, don t fight the crowds in the restaurant, bring mom to the Lodge for a great breakfast. Congratulations to all the incoming Loyal Order and Women of the Moose. I foresee many wonderful events and look forward working with this energized group of dedicated friends. Thanks for tuning in and see ya at the Lodge. Respectfully submitted, John F. O Grady Santa Paula 3
