DCB APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION INSTRUCTIONS 2013-2014 Please note: Graduation application deadline are November 15, 2013 for those graduating in December and March 1, 2014 for those graduating in May or during the Summer. A $10 late fee will be charged to ALL graduation applications turned in after the deadline in the semester for which the student applies. Late applications will be accepted up to the final day of the graduating semester with submitted late-fee payment. BEFORE YOU START: Make sure you are using the appropriate application. Students on our Minot and Valley City campuses will have their own applications to fill out that has tailored information for them. Also, you must submit one application for every degree you are pursuing. STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 Fill out the Personal Information section. Make sure you list the address to which your diploma should be mailed. Select the degree you are pursuing. There are six different types. Associate of Arts: For those who finished a two-year transfer program at DCB and will continue their education at the university level. Associate of Science: For those who finished a two-year transfer program at DCB and will continue their education at the university level. Associate of Applied Science: For those who finished a two-year Career/ Technical program at DCB and are now finished with their degree. Diploma: For those who finished a one-year Career/Technical program at DCB and are now finished with their degree. Certificate: For those who finished a one-year Career/Technical program at DCB and are now finished with their degree. Certificate of Completion: For those who finished a 15 credit or less Career/Technical program at DCB and are now finished with their degree. Gain your advisor s signature. NOTE: Online students can mail app to their advisor. Fill out whether you plan to attend the DCB graduation ceremony or not. NOTE: DCB holds its graduation ceremony in May. December 2013 and July 2014 graduates can participate in the May 2014 ceremony. LATE APPLICANTS: Please contact DCB Bookstore first to see if they have extra gowns, caps and tassels available to purchase. The packages may be sold out by the time you apply (if applying after deadline). Sign your application and turn it in to Student Services. Fill out your Graduation Apparel Order form and settle payment with the DCB Bookstore. NOTICE: Please pay your fees at the DCB Bookstore. The cap and gown fee must be paid in full before March 1, 2014 or the gown package will not be ordered for you. Gown refunds cannot be issued. GRADUATION CEREMONY/CAP, GOWNS & TASSELS 1. Notices will be mailed out and posted on the website. Gown packages will not be mailed out. 11 a.m. May 16, 2014 in the DCB Thatcher Hall gymnasium.
