Athletics 4-5 The Field Hockey Team will be holding their annual car wash fundraiser this Saturday, September 16th, in the high school s fire lane from 8 to12! Rain date is Sept 23rd. P A G E 2 The PSATs will be offered at the High School on Wednesday, October 11th. All juniors will be automatically registered for the test and the Board of Education will be paying the fee for them to take the test. Students in grade 10 and 9 who feel they have completed enough HS coursework to take the test may register to take the PSAT in the HS Counseling Office. The cost to register for students in grades 9 and 10 is $16 and the registration deadline is Thursday, October 5th.Students who are on free/ reduced lunch can have their fee waived.
P A G E 3 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Pictures/Photo ID s will be taken on Thursday, September 21st, 2017 for 9th Grade all day in the Hopkins Cafeteria & 10th Grade all day in the PAC. On Friday, September 22nd, 2017 for all 11th Grade, and any Senior who needs an ID, all day in the PAC. Make-ups will be taking place on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the PAC. High School Kitchen and Cafeteria Construction Update construction completion should be done by May 2018 All projects began June 26 and should reach substantial completion by the end of August, unless otherwise noted. Of course, there are times when construction does not go as planned. The community will be kept apprised of the timelines as we proceed into the summer
P A G E 4 CONGRATULATIONS!!! The Field Hockey Team traveled to Holy Cross on Sept. 9th and both levels returned with wins. Varsity's 5-0 shutout came from goals by Vanessa DiDonato, Katelyn Osterlind, Alexa Celi, Gracyn Banks and Christyana Kane. Haley Bucci with 5 saves. Congrats to the Varsity Field Hockey with their 2-0 win over Moorestown Friends on Saturday, Sept. 13th. Goals were by Gracyn Banks and Vanessa DiDonato assisted by Katelyn Osterlind. Congratulations to the JV Boys Soccer team on their 3 to 0 win over Moorestown Friends Goals Coming from Michael Freitas, Dylan Giletto, and Alexander Petre Congratulations to the Varsity and JV girls soccer teams on their wins yesterday against Moorestown Friends. Jiselle Daniels had the goal and Goal Keeper Erin Turpin had the shutout for Varsity. Also Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Soccer with their 3-0 win over Moorestown HS. Two goals by Caitlin Mbuakoto, one goal by Lydia Daids and assists by jiselle Daniels, Macie Keim and Bailey Enoch. Erin Turpin had the shutout!!
P A G E 5 CONGRATULATIONS!!! The girls tennis team improved their record to 3 wins and no losses on Tuesday, Sept. 12th with a win against Haddon Heights. Singles players Michelle Lin and Elisabetta Morales remained undefeated for the season with shutout victories in their matches. 1st singles player Eleni Toto sealed the win with her second straight victory. Congratulations to the boys and girl s cross country team who opened their season on Sept. 9th at the Cherokee Challenge. Congratulations to sophomore Dakota Oyuela who finished 6th out of 456 runners in the sophomore boys race with a time of 10:20. Junior Sean Burtnett finished 44th out of 419 runners in the Junior Boys Race. Running for the girls were Seniors Rachael Mends and Courtney James and Junior Chase Thomas. Other no- Race. Other notable performances came from: Steven Mendez, Koodsha Manjaro, Tyler Repici, Christian Sabatino and Kyle Fechter. Boy and Girls cross country opened their batch meet season at RV. The boys start the season 4-0 defeating division opponents RV and Northern, along with CIT Medford and Bordentwon. There were outstanding performances from varsity runners, Dakota Oyuela, Sean Burtnett, Steven Mendez, Tyler Repici, Koodsha Manjaro, Aidan Sharp and Craig Cook.
