4.2 Programme requirements: According to the Department's Internal Regulation, students graduate after having: successfully attended all courses (70) of the programme successfully completed and defended the optional final Diploma Dissertation, and accumulated 240 ECTS credits Upon completion of the studies, the graduates acquire the necessary scientific knowledge, skills and competences on the field of Physical Education and Sport Science and have the opportunity to pursue their professional development as presented in Section 5. of the Diploma Supplement. The graduates will be able to: Teach Physical Education, Sport and Health Education in all levels of education (Preschool, Primary school, High School and Higher Education), in Sport Clubs, worksites and other setting of social activity. Direct and serve Sport Federations, Sports' Halls, Physical Activity and Recreation Centres, companies that provide products and services in the sports' area. Serve as technical and scientific consultants in Sports Federations, in organizations that are active in the areas of sports, physical education, health education, recreation and sports tourism. Design and implement according to the finding of a medical examination, exercise physical activity and recreation programs supporting the rehabilitation process of health problems in patients and special populations in hospitals, health, rehabilitation and ergometric centres, health organizations and in institutions that provide services to individuals with special needs. Design and implement exercise, physical activity and outdoor and indoor recreation programs in entities such as Local Authorities, Centres for the Elderly, Fitness and Sport Centres as well as summer camps. Design and implement coaching and physical fitness programs for athletes participating in competitive athletic activities. Teach traditional and contemporary dance. Demonstrate professional and leadership skills in their professional activities.
