The Labour Relations Library holds all of the UB s general and specialized research material related to the EHEA bachelor s degree and diploma courses in Labour Relations and the llicenciatura degree in Labour Sciences (old national plan) taught at the Faculty of Law. Thereby, it assists the teaching and learning of theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of labour law and social security, industrial relations and personnel management. The Labour Relations Library

Lending services www.bib.ub.edu/en/services/lending/ The library allows members to borrow material for study outside the library premises for determined periods of time. A SomUB card or another document granting the right to borrow material from the library is required to make use of this service. All correspondence regarding lending is conducted by email, including: courtesy notices three days before the expiry of each loan; reservation pickup notices; loan recall notices.

Graduate students at the UB Graduate and postgraduate students at affiliated or attached centres Students of UB specific master s degree and diploma courses Students in national and international mobility programs Students at the UB School of Modern Languages (EIM) Students at the Institute of Hispanic Studies Students of UB extension courses Students in interuniversity programs UB Alumni members Teaching and research staff, postgraduate students, and administrative and service staff of the Consortium for Catalan University Libraries (CBUC) 5 items 10 day loans 7 day loans for items on recommended reading lists Students of UB doctoral programs and university master s degrees and postgraduate courses Visiting teachers and researchers Associated and contracted teaching staff UB administrative and service staff Hospital Clinic and Bellvitge Hospital healthcare personnel UB Group administrative and service staff 10 items 20 day loans 7 day loans for items on recommended reading lists

Reservations Reservations for items that are out on loan can be made in person at the lending desk in the library, or via the Library Catalog webpage, signing into your My Account login on that page. If you require an item that is not held in your regular library but can be found in another UB library it can be obtained by: Renewals There is no limit on the renewal of loans, unless the item in question has been requested for loan by another library user. Renewals can be made in person at the lending desk, by telephone, or by Internet through your My Account login (https://cataleg.ub.edu/patroninfo*eng) on the Library Catalog webpage. a) visiting the library that has the item and requesting the loan in person, presenting your SomUB card; b) requesting the loan at the lending desk in your regular library, which will normally be able to provide the item within three or four days.

My Account https://cataleg.ub.edu/patroninfo*eng Through My Account you can see which items you have on loan, check the status of outstanding reservations, view your loan history, make renewals and save preferred searches. To login you will need to provide your name, surname and the barcode number of your SomUB card, or a local username and password. Once logged in you can change your personal details, such as postal address, telephone number or email, so that this information is always up to date. Penalties Keeping items beyond the expiry date of a loan implies an obvious disadvantage to all library users. Not returning items on time triggers a suspension of lending services, per day late for each item as follows: Normal loans: 2 days Restricted loans: 4 days Recommended reading (BR) loans: 4 days Weekend BR loans : 6 days

Items not available for loan Magazines Reference texts Some items from recommended reading lists (denoted BR in the catalog and with a red sticker on the spine of the item) Restricted loans Due to library needs and the characteristics of the material, certain items can only be borrowed for three days at a time. DVDs These items are identified with a redbandon the cover. Special loans For teachers and researchers: www.bib.ub.edu/en/services/lending/special loans/

The UB Library Catalog http://cataleg.ub.edu/*eng The online Library Catalog is your main tool for access to all items available in the UB libraries, including books, journals, online resources, sound recordings, videos and multimedia, as well as a significant amount of archival material, which includes manuscripts, incunabula, scrolls, prints and printed works from the sixteenth century through to the year 1820. The ReCercador http://recercador.ub.edu/ The ReCercador is a single point of access to numerous online resources, including bibliographic databases, book and magazine portals, library catalogs and online journals. It provides an easy method of searching diverse online resources through a single user interface. With the ReCercador you can: find UB e resources and a selection of independent freeaccess e resources; search specific bibliographies on various subjects and access complete texts to which the UB has subscribed; make simultaneous searches of selected resource groups, where the groups allow this. These are metasearchable resources denoted with the icon: ; find e journals and access the full text of articles they contain.

Thematic guides www.bib.ub.edu/en/information resources/guies tematiques/ These guides provide a selection of information resources related to specific teaching and research topics at the University. The Virtual Campus http://campusvirtual.ub.edu/ The Virtual Campus is an online learning environment tailored to the needs of face to face, blended and distance learning at the University of Barcelona and for the entire UB Group. The dynamics of the Virtual Campus develop in virtual classrooms identified by academic year, which you can log into with a MonUB code to access learning materials published by teaching staff, participate on work with other students and teachers, and communicate via mailing lists, forums, chat, etc. Recommended reading lists provided by teachers in the Virtual Campus are linked to the UB Library Catalog, so you can quickly and easily view the availability of these items in the UB libraries.
