Head Teacher Message: We have had a very busy and we are looking forward to the lead up to Christmas at Ashmole Primary School. Key events this month include the theatre trip to see Aladdin, the Children s Christmas Show on Friday 16 th December at 9.30am in the Academy Hall and of course the PTA Christmas Party for the children on Saturday 10 th December 2-3.30pm. Our DfE visit in went very well and we are all delighted with the way the school is progressing. Thank you again for all your fantastic support. New Clubs starting! - We are very pleased to announce the start of two new clubs for our Reception pupils. We have a football club led by Soccer Revolution (on Tuesdays) and a Tennis club led by Paul Rock (on Thursdays) both after school. The Chair is Mrs Liz Warner and a new committee has been elected at the recent AGM. The first event they are organising for the children is the Christmas Party on Saturday 10 th December from 2-3.30pm in the Academy Refectory. We all look forward to working with the new PTA over the coming months and years to successfully organise key events for our children and to help raise further funds that will always go back to our children. Height and Weight checks: Friday 2 nd December from 9am. Children s Christmas Show - Friday 16 th December 9.30am in the Academy Hall. Last Day of Term Thursday 22 nd December - school finishes at 12.45pm Calendar- Forthcoming Events 10 th Dec 13 th Dec (pm) PTA Children s Party - 2-3.30pm in the Refectory at the Academy. Wizard of Oz show at the Academy for all the children.

After School Club Please ensure that if your child is not attending on any particular days to inform Mrs Deniz as there is a waiting list with pupils keen to join and a cost can be charged. All payments should be processed via Parent Pay. We always keep the school gates locked and the staff will bring the children to you for collection at the end of the club. We thank you for your patience in bringing the children to you. Parking We always want to have excellent relations with our neighbours and we kindly remind everyone to never park in front or block anyone s drive or garage. Thank you for your understanding. Children In Need Friday 18 th Well done to everyone that supported our charity day. The children all looked great in their spotty clothes and Pudsey wear! Thank you to everyone who donated and made cakes for the cake sale at the end of the day. Thank you to Miss Costas who organised the charity day. We made 190.00 for the charity. Church Visit - Miss Panayi is organising a visit to a local church during the last week of term. Christmas Dinner The children will have Christmas Dinner on Thursday 15 th December. There will be a traditional Christmas Dinner on offer, or Halal Turkey or a vegetarian risotto to choose from. Value: Never give up. Our Value for December is DETERMINATION. Show and Tell. The children in both classes will do show and tell every Monday. Focus children can bring show and tell items any day during the week. Calling all budding artists We are looking for volunteers to help decorate the fence around the playground. If you are particularly creative and have some spare time, please see Mrs Andrews in the school office. Thank you. Parent Volunteers Required We are looking for parent volunteers to help read with the children or with teacher led tasks. All volunteers will have to be police checked (DBS). Please speak to Mr Tofallis for further information. Homework Homework will be sent home every Friday. Please return all completed homework to school on Wednesday, in your child s homework folder. Thank you. Child Tax Credits If you are in receipt of Child Tax Credit and your annual income is equal or less than 16,190, you may be entitled to help towards the cost of Breakfast and After School Clubs, as well as school trips. Please speak to Mrs Andrews in the school office for more information. All enquiries will be treated as strictly confidential.

Remembrance Day The children did a wonderful job of maintaining a one minute silence to commemorate all the soldiers who have lost their lives during battle.
