Introduction Children in England are assessed at the end of each key stage of schooling: Early Years Foundation Stage YN and YR Key Stage 1 Y1 and Y2 Key Stage 2 Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 Key Stage 3 Y7, Y8 and Y9 Key Stage 4 Y10 and Y11 Key Stage 5 Y12 and Y13 (Sixth Form)
External assessment Monday 8 May 2017: English (reading) Tuesday 9 May 2017: English (grammar, punctuation and spelling paper 1 and paper 2) Wednesday 10 May 2017: Mathematics (arithmetic paper 1 and reasoning paper 2) Thursday 11 May 2017: Mathematics (reasoning paper 3) Normal registration time Tests commencing shortly after 9:00am each morning.
Teacher assessment Teacher assessment of writing is based on classwork within Literacy lessons, as well as other pieces of writing in other subjects such as History or Geography This is submitted by the school for external verification during June 2017
Results These will arrive in the school in July 2017, and a summary will be prepared and sent to your before the end of the academic year. Children are assessed as working: Below the expected standard for year 6 (working towards WT) At the expected standard for year 6 (expected E) Above the expected standard for year 6 (greater depth GD)

Finally Pupils to cross out errors no rubbers! (tests are scanned electronically, and use of rubbers makes this process more open to problems / inaccuracies) Breakfast Club offer - free breakfast for all Y6 pupils from 8am every morning Questions?
