March 30- April 24 April 27 May 29 June 8 July 31 August 3-14 Fall 2009 course reservation registration period for eligible students. (See Course Reservation) Fall 2009 registration time assignments for students enrolled during spring 2009. For best course selection, register as soon as possible after your time assignment begins. Continuing studentss can register through May 29 (and also August 3-14). Schedule adjustment for continuing degree students who have registered for fall semester and registration for continuing studentss who have not yet registered. AFTER May 29, continuing students may NOT register or adjust their schedules UNTIL August 3-14. Fall 2009 registration for eligible new graduate students and readmitted students who have confirmed with admissions and eligible students continuing from summer to fall. After May 29, readmitted students may not register or adjust their schedules until August 3-14. Fall 2009 registration for incoming freshman and transfer studentss (on specified dates). Continuing students and readmitted undergraduate students may not register or adjust their schedules until August 3-14. Registration continues (on specified dates) for new graduate studentss and eligible students continuing from summer to fall. Final registration and schedule adjustment for continuing students, new admittedd graduate students and readmitted studentss who have confirmed, as well as eligible students continuing from summer to fall. Final registration period for all incoming freshman and transfer studentss who have not previously registered (except those in arts and sciences and journalism attending the final orientation in August) and schedule adjustment for all transfer students who registered in June, July, or early August. August 3-21 Official tuition and fee bills available online. E-mail notifications are sent to students at their colorado.edu addresses when the bills are available. Students view / print / pay through CUConnect. Authorized payers view / print / pay on CUBill&Pay. Due on September 2. (See CUBill&Pay) August 14 Deadline (midnight) for all students to register for fall coursess (except incoming freshmen and transfers in arts and sciences and journalism attending the final orientation and

any other incoming freshman or transfers student not yet registered). Registration must be completed by midnight on this day to be guaranteed enrollment for fall semester. After this date, registration is on a space-available basis, and a $50 late fee is charged. (See Late Registration) Deadline (midnight) for continuing students to withdraw from the university and receive a full refund of the $200 enrollment deposit, less any outstanding charges. (This deadline to withdraw and not forfeit the deposit also applies to students planning to go on the Time Out Program.) New and readmitted students are not eligible for a refund. (See Withdrawal) August 17 Monday August 17-18 (Mon.-Tues.) August 20 (Thurs.) August 21 Deadline to set up direct deposit for your financial aid refunds which will be deposited into your designated bank account on August 21. (See direct deposit.) Registration for incoming transfer students in arts and sciences and journalism who are attending the final transfer orientation on August 17. All other eligible incoming transfers who have not yet registered can register via the Web on Tuesday, August 18, 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Registration for incoming freshman students in arts and sciences and journalism who are attending the final freshman orientation on August 18-20 as well as registration for all other eligible incoming freshmen and transfers who have not yet registered. These students must complete registration by 5:00 p.m. on this day to be guaranteed enrollment for fall semester. After this date, registration is on a space-available basis, and a $50 late fee is charged. (See Late Registration) Drop/add time assignments begin for all incoming freshman and transfer students. (See Drop/Add) ACCESS registration begins. (See ACCESS) E-bill notifications will be sent to students and authorized payers for students who registered August 15-20. August 23 (Sun.) Drop/add time assignments begin for all other students. (See Drop/Add) Faculty/staff registration begins. August 24 August 31 September 1 (Tues.) September 2 Classes begin. Space-available registration for Senior Citizens Auditors Program, Koenig Alumni Center, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; continues on Tuesday, September 1, 8:00 a.m. to noon. (See Other Types of Registration) Add Deadline: Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to add a course, including independent study and thesis, without the instructor s signature. After this date, the instructor s signature is required on a special action form to add a course (through September 11). NOTE: After 5:00 p.m. on this date, web registration is only available for dropping courses (through 5:00 p.m. on September 9, the drop deadline). (See Drop/Add)

Wait List Deadline: Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to add name to a course wait list. (See Wait Lists) Tuition & Fees Payment Deadline: Deadline to pay full tuition and fees (or first payment of the two-payment plan). Due by 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time if paid in person or mailed, or before midnight using CUBill&Pay. No grace period. See Payments.) Deadline (before midnight) to sign up for the two-payment plan via CUConnect. No grace period. Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to select or waive university sponsored health insurance at Wardenburg Health Center or by midnight on CUConnect. Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for private scholarship checks to be received in the financial aid Scholarship Office to avoid late and service charges. Scholarship Office to avoid late and service charges. September 7 September 9 Labor Day holiday. No classes. University closed. Drop Deadline: Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to drop a course without being assessed tuition and fees for that course and without a W grade appearing on the transcript. NOTE:After this date, the instructor s signature is required on a special action form (through October 7) to drop a course. (EXCEPTION: Students whose only college is arts and sciences, as well as non-degree students, have until October 30 to drop a course without approval signatures.) No refunds for tuition or fees are given for courses dropped after September 9. (See Drop/Add) Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to petition to waive UCSU student fees. Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to turn in Time Out Program (TOP) applications to the registrar s office and be assured a continuing student registration time assignment for spring semester 2010. (See Time Out Program) Deadline to request a refund of any student opportunities fees you selected. (See Student Opportunities Fees) Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to withdraw from the university and only be assessed a $200 withdrawal processing fee. After this date, 100 percent of tuition and fees is due for students who withdraw unless there are extenuating circumstances. (See Withdrawal) September 11 Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to add a course without petitioning your dean. NOTE: Instructors signature is required on a special action form to add a course. In general, instructors only approve an add if students have been regularly attending and there s space in the course. (See Drop/Add) (NOTE: September 11 is also the deadline for undergraduate resident students to add a course and be eligible for the COF voucher for that course. See COF.) Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to change variable-credit hours, pass/fail, and no-credit status on courses without petitioning your dean. After the deadline, petitions will only be accepted if there are extenuating circumstances. (See Credit and Grading Options)

(See Withdrawal) Deadline for students who have three or more final exams on the same day for fall semester to make arrangements to change their final exam schedule. (See Calendars and Schedules) Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to drop a course without petitioning the dean s office. (EXCEPTION: Students whose only college is arts and sciences, as well as nondegree students, have until October 30 to drop a course without approval signatures.) Note: Courses dropped after September 9 appear with a W grade on the transcript and no refunds for tuition or fees are given for course drops after September 9. After this date students can still authorize through December 17, but need to come into the Office of the Registrar in Regent 105 to do so. (See COF) Spring 2010 registration begins for eligible new and readmitted students. Tuition and fee payment deadline for any unpaid balances and new charges. Past due balances will prevent registration for

future terms. December 11 Last day of classes for fall 2009. Last day for students to withdraw from the university for fall semester. Students in the colleges/schools of Architecture, Education, Engineering, Journalism, Law, MBA and Music must have their dean's permission to withdraw. (See Withdrawal) Last day for students to turn in Time Out Program (TOP) applications to the registrar s office for fall semester. (See Time Out Program) Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to submit an application for the Course Repetition program for fall semester. (See Course Repetition ) December 12-17 (Sat.- Thurs.) December 17 (Thurs.) (See Tuition Dispute) December 18 January 11 January 18 January 20 March 22-26 Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for students paying in-state tuition to authorize COF for fall semester 2009 and receive the COF tuition voucher.
