Student Worker Program Application and Selection Process Welcome to the 2011 2012 application and selection process for the Student Worker Program. There are six open positions for the next academic year (two male student positions and four female student positions). Before applying for the program please note the following requirements: You must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA You must qualify for some sort of financial aid and/or have filled out the 2011-2012 FAFSA to prove eligibility Applicants can be incoming freshman, a current LMU undergraduate or a transfer student. Graduate students are not eligible. Application Process: Please download and complete an application by the deadline. You may include a resume if desired. Applications are also available in person in the office of Student Leadership and Development, located in St. Robert s Hall, Suite 107. Applications are Due on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 by 5pm. All applicants must attend one mandatory information session in order to interview for a position. Applicants must also be available to interview Saturday, April 16 or Sunday, April 17. Submit your completed application to Student Leadership and Development in St. Robert s Hall, Suite 107 or e-mail it to the Program Moderator, Anthony Cummings, at anthony.cummings@lmu.edu. After Submitting Your Application: You will receive an e-mail from the Selection Committee Chair, confirming receipt of your completed application. Via this e-mail, you will be asked to sign-up for one of our mandatory information sessions. At the information session you will be asked to sign-up for an interview that will take place on Saturday, April 16 or Sunday, April 17. Note: If you do not receive an e-mail within 3 days of submitting your application, please call Student Leadership and Development at (310)338-2877 and ask to speak with Danielle Vernon, Selection Committee Chair. Information Sessions: There are three information sessions scheduled and all applicants are required to attend one session. Information sessions are as follows: Wednesday, April 6, Leavey 6, Student Housing Office Conference Room o 9:00pm Saturday, April 9, Leavey 6, Student Housing Office Conference Room o 11:00am & 7:00pm Casual dress is appropriate. At the information session you will also be asked to sign-up for an interview that will take place the following week on Saturday, April 16 or Sunday, April 17. Note: You must attend one information session in order to be eligible to continue on to the interview process.
Interviews: Interviews will take place on Saturday, April 16 or Sunday, April 17. Interviews will take place in the Student Leadership and Development Conference Room, St. Robert s Hall, Suite 106. Please dress appropriately for the interview (Business attire is recommended). Please arrive for your interview 10-15 minutes early. The committee will be conducting other interviews, so take a seat outside and wait for a committee member. A committee member will come and get you when it is time for your interview. Final decisions will be made by Friday, April 29, 2011. Student Worker Program Applicant BBQ: There will be an informal bbq in the Student Worker apartment area on Monday, April 18. This is not a mandatory event, but is highly recommended to attend to give applicants an opportunity to meet current Student Workers and learn more about the program.
