October 13th, 2017 Haddon Primary School Assistant Principal s Report Welcome back to school and to the lovely unpredictable Ballarat Spring weather. It is wonderful to see our students out playing games on the oval and enjoying the slightly warmer weather. The Golden Plains Shire will be undertaking maintenance on the Big Kid s play ground; replacing and repairing equipment, providing additional ground fall and completing maintenance work on the oval. We are very fortunate to have the use of these facilities during school hours. The Walk at School for October has commenced and it was wonderful to see so many families out after school on Tuesday enjoying the sunshine and walking several laps of the oval. Students and families are encouraged to walk before and after school for the month of October and record their efforts on the class tally sheet. Our Biannual Art Show will be held on Thursday November 16 from 5:30 8:30 pm. All students will have several pieces of work on display in the Haddon Community Centre. Food will be available and student activities will be happening throughout the evening. This is an opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the wonderful artistic achievements of our students. Entry is free so bring your family and friends along to this wonderful event. More information will be presented in upcoming newsletters. Our 3 /4 students will take part in the Milo Cricket 20/20 next Friday and the 5 /6 student s competition will be the following week.
