Cypress Wood High School Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District UIL Region III Academic Meet Dear Participating UIL Region III Sponsor: Welcome to the Region III University Interscholastic League Regional Academic Meet. Cypress Woods High School will be the host site for this year s competition of events on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23, 2016. The meet begins on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and concludes Saturday at approximately 5:00 p.m. A specific schedule of events, maps of the building and other information are in this packet. We have also placed all Region III information on http://schools.cfisd.net/cywoods/index.html. Once you are on the site click on the tab for regional information. We are very pleased to be hosting this year s meet and feel confident that your participants will have the opportunity to perform at a high level during the competition. This booklet should give you information pertinent to your school and any contest specifics or logistical information that you may need. During the competition, we will have a hospitality room for judges and sponsors located in the Library on the 2 nd floor to the right of the commons. Grading and Verification rooms are listed on the attached schedule, and sponsors are invited to be part of the grading (if permitted by UIL rules) and most definitely the verification process. We will announce the results in the main commons. If you have questions during the day, you can go to the registration area located in main rotunda. Medals will be awarded periodically throughout the day. You can have your participants pick up their medals, or you may pick them up for distribution on your home campus. You may also pick up testing materials after verification. Those not picked up will be mailed to the school address after the contest is over. As an important reminder, all contestants and their sponsors must be checked in at the registration desk prior to the contest. We look forward to seeing you in April. Best of luck to your team. Sincerely, Dirk Heath Associate Principal & Director Dirk.Heath@cfisd.net Stacey Armstrong Assistant Director Stacey.Armstrong@cfisd.net
