THS DAILY NOTICE SHEET WELCOME TO THS March 29, 2017 126th Day Today is Day 6 Welcome to Wellness Wednesday Want a taste on the wild side? Try some herbs and spices! See what might be in your cupboards at home, sprinkle a tiny bit into your hand, smell it, then taste it. If you like it, try it on a small bite of food. You can also get some seeds to start an herb garden. Parsley, basil, sage, thyme, mint, and oregano are all good choices to start your garden. Coffee Nation will continue serving baked goods and breakfast foods as well as tea and coffee. Stop in and see what s new this week! THS STAFF Coffee Nation is opening the Tiger Teacher Trade How does it work? Bring any unwanted materials and resources to Coffee Nation, located in the teachers cafe. Take any materials that you may be able to use in your classroom.

PEER TUTORING IS AVAILABLE AFTER SCHOOL IN THE LIBRARY ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS. SENIORS: GRADUATION CAP & GOWN Rose-Therese Cap & Gown Company will be here on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, and Thursday, May 4, 2017, during lunches (10:30 12:30) in the auditorium lobby. The following requirements MUST be met prior to Wednesday, April 26, 2017: Departmental textbook monies owed or books to return Library monies owed or books to return Fundraiser monies owed to appropriate Advisors Sports Uniforms returned to Athletic Department AFJROTC Uniforms returned to Major Anderson Industrial Technology project monies owed Lunch monies paid to Food Services The cost is $16.00 CASH ONLY to be paid on that day. Please see your Associate Headmaster s secretary regarding accountability for the above. Seniors must supply receipts to the appropriate Associate Headmaster s Office Secretary so that they may be removed from the delinquent lists in order to receive their cap & gown. Taunton High School s Project 351 will be collecting children s clothing and shoes for Cradles to Crayons from March 27 th to April 7 th. There will be donation boxes throughout THS. Please see Ms. McCarthy in Guidance if you have any questions.

Attention Class of 2017 Senior T-shirts are now on sale until Monday, April 3 rd. If you do not receive a form, see Mr. Torres in D306 or Mr. Turgeon in C104. All forms and money must be collected to process the order. Skills USA will be raising money for the Doug Flutie Foundation. All month Tiger Den will be selling blue pastries to raise money for autism awareness. Please join us for a school wide dress in blue day on Monday, April 3 rd, in recognition of World Autism Day. In preparation for the Drama Festival State Finals, the THS Drama Club will be presenting an additional preview/show of their award winning production And Others. The show is tonight at 7:30 p.m. Admission is FREE! UPCOMING MEETINGS If you are interested in running for a Key Club board position, forms are outside of C209 and C303. They are due Monday, April 3 rd. Fashion Club meets every Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Room B105.

There is a Relay for Life meeting today after school in Room C209. The Junior Class fundraising Cookie Dough arrival is TODAY, Wednesday, March 29 th. Please pick up in the cafeteria between 12:30 2:30 p.m. The Animal Care Club will meet this Thursday, March 30 th, in Room M110 after school. New members are always welcome. The next Interact Club meeting is Thursday after school in Room C309. Members are reminded to bring their RSVP s for the Rotary Dinner and bags for the Mats for the Homeless Project. Attention Whovians! The Doctor Who Club meets tomorrow and every Thursday after school in Room M104. New members are always welcome! Any member of the Math Team interested in playing cribbage we ll be meeting in D203 on Thursday this week. REGULAR CLUB MEETING DATES Attention all Students - Aviation Club will meet every Monday after school until 3:30 p.m. All are welcome to join. Table Top Club will meet Mondays in D211. Discover Dungeons and Dragons with us! The Asian Culture Club is back! The club will meet every Tuesday after school in Room D314. Join us to play video games or card games and explore Asian culture of all kinds. New members are always welcome! Tenacity Challenge Team meetings are 2-3 in Room A213 Tuesdays. THS Game Club meets in C306 every Tuesday. Bring your best decks! The Fellowship of Christian Students meets every Tuesday in Room B312. All students and faculty are welcome! The Gender Sexuality Alliance meets the 2 nd and 4 th Wednesday of each month in the Access Center at 2:00. All are welcome. BCC Course will be held every Wednesday in D102 from 5:30 8:00. Friends of the Library Club meets every Thursday after school until 2:45 p.m. All are welcome! Guidance News Attention Juniors! THS Guidance is holding its annual College Planning Seminar tomorrow, Thursday, March 30 th, at 6 p.m. in the THS Auditorium. Topics to be covered include: The College Application process, SAT vs. ACT, College visits and fairs, and NCAA Clearinghouse.

The Taunton Girls Softball League scholarship application is available online and in guidance. This scholarship is open to those who plan to go to college or enlist in the military. Deadline is April 1 st. Seniors: Make sure you check out current scholarships that are available. Some of them are starting to expire. Don t miss out! Attention Seniors: If you have been accepted to a college, please check in with your guidance counselor and share the good news. We want to celebrate your success! Happy Wednesday!
