Uniforms and Sports Kit Guidelines General Guidelines school uniform and in their overall appearance. The school uniform and sports kits are available exclusively from the shop on campus. All students: Hair The school actively discourages hair dye/coloured highlights. Hair should be kept neat and clean. Primary students with long hair should have it tied back at all times, and senior students should have it tied back in all practical lessons. Braided hair is acceptable. Simple hair accessories for girls are allowed in navy blue only. Head scarves are not allowed. Jewellery Students may wear one item of simple and discreet neck jewellery. This must be worn inside the shirt/blouse. Bracelets and rings are not allowed, except one school or house baller band. Students may wear a watch. parents and approval by the Head of Primary and Head of Senior. Make-Up Make-up is not allowed in any primary class. In the senior school, make-up is discouraged but if applied should be minimal and discreet. Nail varnish should be clear. Body piercing, art and tattoos are discouraged and, if worn, should not be visible. Daily Uniform: Primary School Nursery P.E. Uniforms and Sports Kit Guidelines Daily Uniform: Senior School Girls Years 7-11: White short sleeve blouse with school logo. String-tie to be tied and worn at the collar. Pleated plaid skort, pleated skirt or long pants. Years 12-13: White blouse with plaid checkered collar and school logo. Pleated plaid skirt, skort or long pants Blouses are worn tucked out of the skirt, skort or long pants. Top button can be worn undone. Skirt/skort length should be two inches above or below the kneecap. Ankle length white socks are to be worn. Black leather shoes of an acceptable style. Shoe heels must be no higher than 1 ½ inches and should not be stilettos. Undergarments should not be visible. Blue hair ties only should be worn. Optional: Navy blue cardigan with school logo. Boys Years 7-11: White shirt with school logo to be worn with dark blue school trousers or shorts. Years 12-13: White shirt with pattered inner collar and school logo. To be worn with dark blue school trousers or shorts. Shirts are worn tucked out of the trousers or shorts. Top button can be worn undone. Trousers or shorts are to be worn at waist level. Black leather shoes of an acceptable style i.e. no trainers. Dark leather belts may be used. Plain V-neck white undershirt can be worn. Undershirt should not be visible from the collar or bottom of the shirt. Socks to be either dark blue, grey or black. Uniforms and Sports Kit Guidelines P.E. Kit Primary School All students should have water bottles and hats. Both boys and girls are expected to wear their house colour t-shirt, navy shorts, and short white ankle socks during P.E. Long white socks should be worn for football and rugby lessons. All students should wear multi-purpose non-marking training shoes. Boys are required to wear shin pads during football and rugby lessons. Children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 should have the legionnaires style hat, and children in Years 2-6 should have the school cap. This must be worn for all outside activities except swimming. Swimming caps are compulsory for all. Towels are required. Students who are members of a school sports team should have the appropriate squad strip. All students should have a house T shirt in the appropriate colour. All students should have BSM swimming costume and rash vest. Senior School All students should have a house colour P.E. T-shirt, navy P.E. shorts and white sports socks. A BSM cap should be worn when participating outside. All students should have suitable sun protection cream or lotion. All students must have a pair of multi-purpose non-marking training shoes. All boys and girls in Years 7-11 should have a pair of football boots and shin pads. Short white socks should be worn during P.E. lessons. Long white socks should be worn for games lessons involving football and rugby. All students up to and including Year 11 should have the school swim suit and swim cap. A towel is also required. appropriate squad kit.
