PSLE - a placement exam Need to reflect the relative achievement level of students among their peers Places students into different courses according to their academic ability Enables posting to secondary schools by merit and as far as possible into a school of their choice
Aggregate Score The Aggregate score is calculated by adding the T-scores of the 4 subjects AGGREGATE
T-Score vs Raw Score T-Score gives the relative position of your child s performance as compared to the performance of all other students in that subject. Raw score obtained in the exam shows how well the child has done in the subject BUT not how well she has done as compared to others.

Exercise School Preference Stage SCHOOL PREFERENCE INDICATION [OCT] Student may submit preference up to 3 DSA Sec schools via DSA- Sec Internet System or physically submit it at the primary schools. NOTE: A unique DSA PIN for logon to DSA-Sec Internet System will be enclosed in the School Preference Form. Parents can only amend or withdraw student s submitted school preferences before the end of the Exercise School Preference Stage. Any amendment or withdrawal will NOT be allowed after this stage..
Results Release Stage RESULTS [NOV] Successful applicant collects DSA application result together with PSLE results Unsuccessful applicant in DSA to participate in Sec 1 Posting Exercise
Successful DSA Applicants Student will be guaranteed a place in the school if she has been given Confirmed Offer AND qualify for an academic course which is offered by the school. Successful DSA candidates will NOT be allowed to make any school option in the centralised S1 Posting Exercise since they already have a place reserved for them in a secondary school.
Successful DSA Applicants Student admitted to a school through DSA-Sec Exercise will NOT be allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results. Student is expected to honour the commitment to the posted DSA school for the duration of the programme admitted to.
