Objectives of MSc (ICM) Programme To develop competent and well rounded construction managers who will have the skills to source, secure and effectively manage projects in the domestic and international construction market. To enable graduate engineers, architects and other related professionals to expand their decision-making horizons, given the kind of environments and risks which international construction managers have to confront.
Duration of Programme The minimum, normal and maximum periods of candidature for full-time candidates are 12, 18 and 36 months respectively. The minimum, normal and maximum periods of candidature for part-time candidates are 24, 30 and 48 months respectively.
Curriculum Structure For successful completion of the programme of study, students must obtain a total of 30 Academic Units (AUs), of which 18 AUs must be in International Construction Management. The remaining 12 AUs can be selected from the programme or an approved list of graduate courses offered by the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering or any other graduate courses approved by the Chair. Each course has 3 Academic Units (AUs) Each semester consists of 13 weeks of evening sessions.
