St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School Enrichment Programs Fall 2017 Because our young people have a wide variety of interests and talents, St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School offers a number of opportunities for students to explore extra-curricular activities as part of our after school Enrichment Program. Attached you will find a list of enrichment classes offered this fall. Fall 2017 Enrichment Program classes will meet as noted in the description of each class. GENERAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Registration: Please use a separate registration form for each child and for each class. Checks are to be made payable to the class instructor, with a separate check for each class. All checks and registration forms must be received by Thursday, October 5, 2017. Payment is required for registration, and classes will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. There will be no refunds for early withdrawals from the class. Please note that alternate registration instructions, if applicable, are noted in the class descriptions. Refunds: If you register your child for an Enrichment Program class that is subsequently cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be refunded your payment for that class. Refunds will also be made for any individual class that is cancelled by the class instructor or due to weather-related school closure, unless a make-up day is scheduled on the same day of the week in the future. This refund policy applies to Enrichment Program classes instructed by St. Raphael teachers and registered through Dr. Tucker at St. Raphael. Please check with outside instructors to confirm their refund policies. Attendance: To ensure your child s safety, we must be informed of absences from enrichment classes. If your child is present at school, we will assume that he/she will be present at the scheduled enrichment class. Likewise, if your child is absent, we will assume that he/she will also be absent from that day s scheduled enrichment. Variations from this must be noted in writing/email to the class instructor. 1

There are no enrichment classes held on days school is not in session, early dismissal days, and PTS conference days. You should receive notification from the class instructor if there will be no enrichment for only a specific class. This applies to classes offered by outside agencies, as well as those offered by school personnel. Last minute cancellations should be rare. If a class must be cancelled at the last minute, students will be allowed to call a parent or guardian to pick them up. Arrival and Dismissal: Students will be dismissed from their homerooms to the Enrichment Program each day. Students enrolled in the Enrichment Program are expected to be picked up when the class is scheduled to end, as stated in the class description. We thank you for your cooperation in being prompt. If you are not able to arrive within 5 minutes of the stated end time of the enrichment class, your child may be dismissed from the Enrichment Program class with no refund (at the discretion of the class instructor). This is to ensure the safety of your child and to respect the time commitment of the class instructors. Schedule Conflicts: Remember: You can t do it all!! Please consider carefully your child s extracurricular activities that may cause a schedule conflict with enrichment classes for which he/she is committed. Also, please do not register your child for two enrichments that occur on the same day. There are no refunds for absences. Behavior: Students who register for Enrichment Program classes are expected to be respectful and attentive, and to follow the Code of Student Conduct. It is the responsibility of the enrichment class instructor to ensure that the environment is conducive to a meaningful experience for all students, and repeated misbehavior by a student during an Enrichment Program class may result in a call to parents or guardians, issuance of a discipline report, or dismissal from the class. You will receive notification form the instructor if any of these events occur, and there will be no refund of any fees paid if your child is expelled from the class due to misbehavior or repeated failure to attend. 2
