South Ribble School Sports Partnership "Active Schools " Offer 2015-2016 Following a successful and exciting 2 years of PE, sport and competition since the introduction of the Primary School Sports Premium funding in 2013 we are now ready to help schools plan for 2015 and beyond and manage our resources accordingly. The offer is once again based around the core expectations of the Sports Premium funding; The development of PE as a curriculum area, the PE subject leader and all staff. All this is planned and delivered in partnership with the Lancashire Head of Primary PE, School Sport and Outdoor Education Glenn Swindlehurst and the Youth Sports Trust. Opportunities for all pupils to participate in appropriate competition, within school, against other local schools with progression to Borough and County level competition for those achieving success. Within this we provide competitive opportunities for all pupils of all abilities from all years not just the most gifted. Health and wellbeing opportunities including opportunities for less active pupils to participate. We have developed the Change4Life concept based on evidence of what has worked over recent years and developed this aspect of the offer as it is the area where many schools have been able to report limited impact. Infrastructure Charge ( 1200) For the School Sports Partnership to operate and run all the events and leagues we rely on the release of specialist PE teachers from most of our high schools and 1 days administrative support per week. There is no longer any national funding for this so if primary schools would like to sustain these services it will need to be funded through their sports premium funding. This use of the funding has recently been identified as good practice by OFSTED. Schools investing in the infrastructure will automatically become members of the Youth Sport Trust. This will give all schools access to an online learning community, discount on equipment and free places on 2 out of the 3 courses highlighted in the CPD Section as well as access to focused subject leader training and support with the self review tool and National PE and Sport Quality mark. This enables the SSP team to: 1 day teacher release from 7 high school PE departments to create the staffing infrastructure for the SSP Administration of the SSP related activities including CPD, all events, festivals and competitions, plus support with monitoring and reporting Marketing and promotion Equipment for all events Facilities for all events Hospitality for staff attending many events Sportshall Athletics support in preparation for Level 2/3 competitions

Physical Education Use of specialist PE teachers Schools wishing to support staff in specific areas of PE by using specialist PE teachers can buy specialist PE teachers time for 1-6 lessons based on a cost of 150 per day. All staff follow the updated Lancashire Scheme of Work and will have attended training with the Lancashire PE Advisor. Please enter your requirements in the table below
