Tuesday, March 14 OMT Boot Camp will help participants improve existing skills, as well as introduce new and innovative osteopathic modalities; include combined didactic and hand-on approach and refine and enhance your OMT skills. ACOFP Faculty Development Day: Educating Today s Learners* 7:30 am - 5:00 pm This new program is designed for COM and residency faculty, preceptors, and program directors along the continuum of osteopathic education. Joint Injection Workshop* 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Participants will learn and enhance skills in joint and bursae injections. Common musculoskeletal complaints, exam, and approaches will be covered to show how this valuable skill is utilized. Billing and coding will also be covered. STATE MANDATORY COURSES* 8:00 am - 1:00 pm 5 Category 1-A CME Credits Professional & Medical Errors (2 hours) Prevention of Medical Ethics (1 hour) Florida Laws & Rules (1 hour) Federal & State Laws Related to Prescribing Controlled Substances (1 hour) This program meets the mandatory five (5) hours required for the State of Florida Relicensure. Buprenorphine and the Office-Based Treatment for Opioid Use Disorders Training (waiver eligibility/certification training)* Presented by PCSS-MAT. Dermatology Workshop Including an Introduction to Basic Wound Care* Participants will be able to perform procedure preparation, review various skin pathologies, and demonstrate techniques for excisions of cysts, lipomas and other skin lesions. Participants will also review cryosurgery techniques, basic suturing and nail surgery. Basic wound care techniques, surgical safety and possible complications, and the use of proper coding for reimbursement will also be discussed. Space is limited and an additional registration fee applies.
