Introduction Project II Performing Arts Learning Center The global trends in educational reform have mobilized toward the 21 st century skills which respond to stakeholders and market demands. A wide spectrum of these 21 st century skills has been implemented to help students achieve their learning skills (creative + critical thinking and collaborative communication), literacy skills (media + technology), and life skills (initiative + social skills). All targeting groups will not accomplish merely a single source of academic system from typical day schools and classroom-based education, but extra curriculum or learning outside the classroom and educational outreach become a supplementary way of learning. Educational outreach promotes specific activities or informal education that occurs outside of the classroom or after-school for everyone and especially young people who are often focused on enhancing special skills and promoting professional development. Learning center is a facility of great potential that can provide music & performing art skills and support specific specialties of learning activity. In this way, a learning center acts as the educational outreach facility that initiates a flexible learning environment and produces a new and useful means of performing arts learning. Targeted Location Sathorn district is one of the trendiest commercial and mixed-use areas of Bangkok. Sathorn also represents a variety of fine lifestyle service programs, international visitors and business travelers, as well as many top-ranked educational institutions. With the Bangkok Skytrain (BTS) running along Sathorn Road and stations at Surasak and Saphan Taksin, this district becomes the outstanding location and prime area where a learning center can potentially boost up and promote the values of this location. Program: These types of extra curriculum will provide for a viable learning center that offers the much-needed 21 st century skills for the community around Sathorn district and its neighborhoods. Providing Music & Performing arts in creative varieties of physical and mental ability would establish a new educational outreach hub for Bangkok.
