CHARLIE SIZER Inducted, Contributor/Coach Category, 2013 Charlie Sizer came to, SD, in 1978. He started his career in teaching business and coaching football and boys basketball. MHS has given him the opportunities to be involved in teaching and coaching for 35 years and being the athletic director for 20 years.. In those years he has received the following awards: South Dakota Coach of the Year 1985 South Dakota Coach of the Year 1992 73 Consecutive wins - a record for Class A Girls Basketball 1st Place in 1991 at the Girls Basketball State A Tournament 1st Place in 1992 at the Girls Basketball State A Tournament 2nd Place in 1993 at the Girls Basketball State A Tournament 3rd Place in 1985 at the Girls Basketball State A Tournament 5 conference tournament championships 8 district girls basketball championships 4 region girls basketball championships 3 region Athletic Director of the Year 5 region golf Coach of the Year. 4 region girls basketball Coach of the Year Team of the Year for girls basketball in 1993. Sizer coached and assisted boys basketball, football, junior high boys basketball and boy and girls golf for 25 years on top of girls basketball for 20 years. He was the Rodeo Club advisor for 10 years and the prom advisor for 25 years. Charlie was named to the Jamestown College Hall of Fame in 1993. In 2009, he started the MHS Hall of Fame. He was honored to receive the Joel Haring I Love Wrestling award from MHS in 2013. He received the Rollie Greeno coaching award from Jamestown College in 2013. He and his wife Jane raised two children in, Kate (Olson) and Liza (Clark). He is very proud to call his home. All of the awards and accomplishments were made possible with support from the students, athletes, parents and the community of. He will forever bleed green!
