Athletics Carnival Good luck to all of the competitors for tomorrow s carnival. I know the organisers are trying a new program that will try to encourage more participation and have children being more active on the day. The teachers and I just love seeing children participate, enjoy a friendly, happy and healthy lifestyle. I hope as many family members as possible can join us on the day. I know your children would love to have you visit and see them in action. Just come for lunch if you are working. Thank you in advance to our P&C, Nicole our Canteen Manager and any volunteers who assist on the day. Good luck to our carnival organisers Mrs Gowan and Mrs Darcy. Dance Festival Good luck to our four dance groups who will perform in Kempsey next Wednesday during the day and in the evening. I can t wait to see the dances on the night. I know the parents of our children and I will be incredibly proud of you all. It is a tremendous experience to be involved in and a massive thank you must go to our dedicated dance teachers who spend many, many lunch times choreographing and practising the routines. Thank you Mrs Dignum, Miss Hollis, Mrs Falk, Mrs Johnston and Mrs Barnett for all your talents, time and effort. Staffing We will welcome back Mr Baker tomorrow from his fantastic overseas trip. I received a lovely email congratulating one of our students Bailey P. The email was from the Assistant Principal of Sawtell PS who was the convenor of the North Coast AFL team. He said Bailey was an outstanding representative for your school, always competing at a high level and with great sportsmanship. As a coach I was impressed with his ability to follow instructions and ask for advice on how to improve his role within the team. He is a credit to your school, his family and himself. How good is that? Well done Bailey! What makes a good book? Books with vivid imagery, exciting stories and strong characters will not only entertain your child but set them up to enjoy reading for the rest of their life.
