3. FOR STUDENTS ONLY: A complete application also requires the submission of the following documents (by email only to enlace@ucsd.edu; no originals necessary): 1. A letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or a college professor sent in PDF format. No other formats will be accepted. 2. School transcripts in PDF format (no other formats will be accepted): For high school students in the USA: The transcript must show courses for 10th grade and the first semester of 11th grade. It can also include courses for 9th grade, but this is not a requirement. The transcript must also include the overall grade point average. For high school students in México: The transcript (Kardex) must show grades for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd semesters of high school. The transcript must also include the overall grade point average (promedio general). For college students in México: The transcript (Kardex) must show all grades for all college semesters that have been completed. The transcript must also include the overall grade point average (promedio general). 3. A two-page essay describing (1) why you want to participate in ENLACE 2018 and (2) what is your specific area of interest, in PDF format. No other formats will be accepted.
Applicant Information The cost of the program for students is $5,000. Scholarships may be provided to students based on financial need. Financial information may be requested upon acceptance into the program, in order to verify eligibility for scholarship support. Mark the following box if a scholarship for participation is requested. There are no scholarships for the researcher/teacher program. Cost of this program is $800 per week. Final costs will be determined after receiving the application and determining the total number of weeks that will be spent at UC San Diego.
