The month of March was filled with Sun and good times, and all the events at the club had been as successful as ever, with good participation and I hope we can all beat the upcoming summer months together! We started with a Round of Tambola on the 10th March which was well attended. The hit Telugu movie ADHURS was screened on the 13th March. Bumper Tambola of the month on 24th March was a huge success and many people walked away with happy smiles! The bar night on 26th March was a super hit with singer Shriram & Group serenading us with popular numbers. There were special offers on wines and spirits and beer which were enjoyed by all. The screening of the popular Tamil film Vettaikaran on 27th March was a relaxing way to end the month with a bang and the many members who attended surely seemed to agree! Steady power cuts started occurring, heralding the summer months, and the club is taking adequate measures to keep members comfortable. The new generator installation work is progressing well and will be completed by the end of April. The month of April holds many more great events. Swimming, Tennis and gym camps are planned and do contact the Sports Complex for more details. Mr.S.Ramasamy was appointed as the Chairman of the sub committee to review the existing Articles of Association of our club. Mr.Ramasamy co-opted two of our members Mr. P.V.Kalyanasundaram and Mr. P.Desingu as members of the sub committee. The sub committee had submitted its report to the managing committee for further action. I thank the chairman and members of the sub committee for their time and efforts. Staff of Health Department, Chennai Corporation had inspected the kitchen areas and suggested certain improvements. The same is being implemented. Commercial Tax department has imposed Entertainment Tax on all sports activities of the club which is being strongly contested by the club.
