If so, highlight the methodology The University has a well organised system of curriculum design and development. Each Department has a Board of Studies at UG & PG levels consisting of experts from the faculty of the Department and from other Universities, representatives from industry and student representatives. Concerned subjects in different departments are grouped as one faculty and a senior teacher is nominated as the Chairperson. The Boards of Studies scrutinize two issues i.e., need assessment and feedback from the stakeholders before designing and developing the curriculum. The need assessment is made basing on market surveys, public opinion, experts views, industry requirements, MoU entered with other institutions/organisations, state policies, guidelines framed by UGC and other national apex bodies and regional requirements. The feedback is obtained formally and informally from faculty, students, alumni, employers and academic experts periodically following systematic procedures. The draft curriculum will be discussed at length in periodic meetings of respective Boards of Studies and the final draft will be placed before the Academic Senate for approval. The Academic Senate is the final authority to approve the new programmes, curriculum, modifications in curriculum, syllabus, regulations, etc. in the existing programmes.

Yes, the department obtains feedback from faculty on curriculum, teaching, learning and evaluation. The feedback collected will be analysed and placed before the departmental committee and staff council. The feedback on curriculum will be used in designing / modifying the syllabi. The feedback on teaching learning evaluation will be used to improve the respective processes b. Students on staff, curriculum and teaching-learning-evaluation and how does the department utilize the feedback? Yes, the department collect the feedback from students on staff curriculum on teaching learning and evaluation processes. The data is analyzed and corrective measures are taken accordingly. c. Yes, the feedback from alumni and employees on programmes offered is collected and such information is used for improvement of quality of the department. 43. Each and every programme is monitored throughout the period to ensure conformity with what has been set as course objectives and leaning outcomes. The methods adopted for the purpose includes continuous assessment, observations, semester end tests and results, participations in competitions, contributions of new thoughts and ideas, and innovativeness and leadership. 47.
