EXTENDED SCHOOL SERVICES/SUMMER SCHOOL/NIGHT SCHOOL/ASSISTED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES SALARY SCHEDULE The Extended School Services Program (ESS) is funded through state ESS monies and is intended to help students who are at risk. Generally speaking, these services must be provided at times beyond the regular school day or regular school calendar. Teachers, counselors or other professional employees who serve as ESS, ALO or night school providers are to be paid at their regular teaching salary rate, not to exceed the equivalent of $24.25 per hour. Professionals who serve as ESS Building Coordinators shall be compensated at the rate of $29.25 per hour. Persons employed as Emergency substitute teachers, who serve as ESS, ALO or night school providers, are to be paid at the rate of $16.75 per hour. Summer enrichment teachers will be paid according to the number of students and the number and length of class periods at a rate not to exceed his/her regular teaching salary rate nor to exceed the equivalent of $24.25 per hour. Support staff providers are to be paid the regular hourly rate for their specific job classification.
