This workshop is co-presented by two integrated ENL co-teachers and is designed to explore a variety of co-teaching styles you can utilize in your classes. Working with Newcomers can be stressful, but don t sweat the small stuff, embrace it. Learn how to work with the Common Core, content teachers, and the students to make those little moments of progress into small victories. Participants will gain additional knowledge and best practices for working with diverse learners with special education needs in an inclusion setting. Additionally, participants will learn how to leverage technology, scaffolding, and differentiation to meet the needs of the multilingual learners in an inclusion classroom. n this presentation, we will describe the process of forging a strong co-teaching relationship as we reimagined literacy instruction through small group work using the RLA (ndependent Reading Level Assessment) and the Daily 5 to meet the needs of students of diverse English proficiency levels. This session will describe several interventions that were used to support ELLs in mathematics at Jamestown High School. n addition to being ELLs, the students who received the interventions had other risk factors (low socio-economic status, literacy, numeracy). After the interventions, 100% of the students passed the algebra regents exam. K-6 K-6 9-12
