Mrs Corio ROCKLEY WATER SPORTS TRIP 2015 We took 23 GCSE students to Rockley Water Sports Centre over the weekend to learn new skills and experiences. The group were fantastic and a credit to Aldworth School, their behaviour was impeccable and they all enjoyed themselves. They started with a whole day of sailing on the Saturday whereby they learnt to rig a boat, sail, turn and best of all capsize - some more than others! The second day consisted of windsurfing, kayaking, SUP and canoeing - they all managed these well and also enjoyed playing games on the water against one another. In the evenings there was entertainment such as a quiz/egg drop and archery. Well done to all students involved and the staff for taking them. Mr Minton, Miss Watson and Mr Dowell YEAR 10 AND 11 NETBALL Last Thursday the teams played Cranbourne. The Year 10 team beat them 16-3 with player s player Deborah Hagos. It was an exciting game to watch as they dominated each half with some fantastic shooting by Lauren Instone and Chante Pellet. Good ball play by Jade Clare, Amber Clare, Jasmine Kinchin and Victoria Butler- Clack. Chloe Keeping did well to prevent the ball going in the net at the opposite end. The Year 11 game was close but they lost narrowly by 2 goals - again an intense game with good play from Ava Kerwick, Molly Catling-Allen, Olivia Aston, Jennifer Leister and Grace Scaife. Thank you to Lucy Havard and Addie Burns for filling in at the last minute. Miss Watson (Continued on page 3)
