St Mary s, Isleworth Newsletter for 26th June 2015 Y3 Football As part of Sports Week, Year 3 took part in a Football workshop Wednesday 24 th June. They did a mini tournament whereby they played several games against other teams in the class. The whole class showed a real enthusiasm for the game and an excellent sporting attitude. Well done Year 3. Sports Week See www.facebook.com/ StMarysI) for more of the photos of the activities that have been happening this week.

Y2 Twickenham rugby ground visit Last Wednesday I was so excited to be going with my class and 2L to Twickenham Rugby Ground. It was a very long walk, but we took a photo by the statue before we went in. Damian D When we got there the people gave us something to put round our necks. I don t know what they were called, but the teachers had them that said group leader. Joseph L Our group went to the tour first to see the seats at the top of the stadium. (it was really cool!) Isabella W We played a game. We had to race to dress up in the old fashioned rugby clothes. It was tricky to get the right pieces. I had so much fun. We went on the pitch. Veronica C Mary A When we went into the museum we got to press buoons and play pretend games. We could try to kick the ball over the bar of the goal. Kea The changing rooms were funny. There were big baths that they all get in together! There baths that they fill with ice. The changing rooms are all red and white to scare the other team. The colours are in a saint George Cross shape. Eva I would like to wear a rugby top to see what it feels like. I would also like to wear their boots. I was really looking forward to seeing the pitch because the grass might be light green and shiny. I got to sit in the Queen s seat, the president of rugby sits there if the queen is not there.
